I genuinely have no idea what the Jailor is trying to do and because of that can’t say it’s bad because I don’t know what it is… I’ve felt so out of place this expac because I’m fighting seemingly for no reason.
Have you not been reading the quest dialogue? Or watching the cinematics?
Bad guy gets pushed down by system (loses rank in SL due to search for forbidden knowledge, banished to the maw as punishment)
Bad guy wants to bring down system, plays super weird long game to do so, with lots of realms/factions/titans help or luck… or something.
We kill bad guy, system rights itself and continues.
The Jailer wants to annihilate life as we know it, according to the Eternity’s End Survival Guide. Why? I don’t know. Nobody knows. Not even Blizzard knows. They didn’t write a reason why.
From what I can tell, the Jailer wants to control the universe. I think, could be wrong.
He wants to be the sole ruler of everything. Why? Idk. Seems like a lot of work and headache to me.
I am in it for the gold and the booty.
No one knows, not even Blizzard KEKW.
I don’t care to know tbh, the dudes been in the backseat the entire time because we’ve all been up Sylvanas behind the entire time. I forgot he existed ngl.
This is what I keep wondering, too. Because it’s literally been explained to us over and over, yet we still keep seeing these threads.
Why does he want to control things? How does he plan on doing it?
Some people run addons or UI packs that auto-accept quests soon as you click on the quest giver, same as auto-completes (except when you gotta choose a piece of gear).
The closest I can figure is that it’s basically the story of Lucifer, where he made a power grab and his punishment was tormenting evil souls for all eternity. As a result, the Jailer only doubled his efforts to be free and control everything.
It’s dumb, specifically how it turns Sargeras and the Legion into puppets.
It’s okay. You don’t have to care. The people who wrote the story don’t care.
It’s also unclear what that even means.
It was nice back in Cata when we got the End-time dungeon because we actually saw what would happen if Deathwing wins.
But what would it mean if the Jailer won? What does a “reality where all shall serve” look like?
It sounds bad, I guess.
Because after seeing everything he’s seen being the Arbiter, he found the entire machine to be flawed and wanted to remake everything.
Literally the entire next patch focuses on this. It’s what the whole lead up has been about.
Again… did none of you pay any attention whatsoever?
Like what happened with Sylvanas setting us free? Like I know we captured her but how was she gonna do it and what did it mean?
The Devil does not torment any evil souls in Christianity. God is the only one who does that. It’s dumb that they actually went with that for the Jailer.
If it’s flawed and he wants to remake it how’s that bad? We never talked about it
I’m just gonna leave this here for everyone to hopefully read.
Jailer is an opportunist, which is slightly better than never known defeat even though he got defeated and thrown into the maw. And if you’re thinking to yourself “What?” You’re not alone.
He wants to fix the makers flawed design.
Why does he think it’s flawed? We don’t know.
He wants to unleash an eternity of torment.
Why does he want to torture everyone? We don’t know. Really, what do you even get out of it? Maybe torment just means mindless obedience?
