I’m 618 on my lock trying to run 7s and 8s, never mind the 10s I need to do, and literally nobody will invite or accept me for hours. I got AOTC, We need a heroism/bloodlust or something to bring us in line with the other RDPS. We don’t provide buffs, we can’t give bloodlust, all we have is reliable damage and lock rocks. The gate isn’t enough.
We don’t even have a baseline interrupt. Give us one on a 24 second cooldown. Make the felhunter one on a 20 second cooldown. They share a cooldown. Done, solved.
For the bloodlust class fantasy, I propose “Nether/Felfire/Chaos Infusion”. Yada yada something something twisting nether bunch of chaotic energies from the warlock oh everyone casts spells 30% faster but if you were to do it again in the next 10 minutes their souls would be obliterated!

Best success is to make your own group, then you can be picky like everyone else.

I do that and sit at 3 dps waiting for a tank and healer before they both leave. Warlocks are the least invited class right now in mythic+. It’s a design issue.

People would rather a Mage over a Lock is really what it boils down to.
This is ridiculously false lol. I see them in several groups, and never have issues getting invited to 9’s/10’s.
Every group has a shaman, which covers lust. Every group likes having a brez, which we bring, and Druids aren’t exactly everywhere right now. DK’s are predominant, but not everywhere.
Locks are getting invited a hell of a lot easier than spriest, windwalker, hunters, etc.
I also always love when people insinuate “they’re just health stones.”
Healthstones are incredibly strong.
Statistics say otherwise.
Recent stats show what I said to entirely be true, evokers are now doing slightly worse than we are.
Evokers.
That’s it.
You get invited easily because you have a 622 ilvl. I have a 619 ilvl now.
I’m beyond struggling just to find a group.
618 is more than enough to get your KSM. And you also dont need to be spamming 10s for it either right now as well. People saying that you on 618 as a lock isn’t good enough to run keys doesn’t know what they are talking about. You literally don’t need to be that high to get it done right now unless you are going for the KSH and even then, that would put you at just about right.
618 for 7s is high enough. Sounds like you just got a bunch of grumpy people holding you back, OP. Don’t listen to the nay sayers and form your own group and run them till you get them.
You are posting from Darrowmere realm though and if that is the realm from which you play, then yea it will be pretty difficult getting what you want over there. Even though all realms are combined, Blizz still usually groups old battlegroup realms together first before having the others pop in.
You should look at a realm change if you are playing from the realm you are posting on.
You know what you are capable of, those pugging with you do not. Drop them and find a better group of people to play with. They are literally holding you back and are making you belive stuff about your class that isn’t even remotely true.
Idiots usually invite flavor of the week/month classes in M+. Best is to push your own keys. Yes Warlocks are not up there with DKs/Rets/Mages (who do more damage under geared than a decent warlock right now) but 618-120 ilvl should be good enough to do 8-9’s. I’ve had this trouble myself but better success to push your own key.
You’re not the only one. Hero buff is also a big problem often dictating one of the spots since its usually occupied by a dps and the spot usually gets relegated to a mage or shaman. Coincidentally, mage and shaman are currently high on the tier list which only serves to inflate the issue.
Never invite dps first. Alot of tanks and healers usually bring a buddy.
I’m gonna go ahead and call you out because people use “statistics/studies show” falsely to try to bolster their points when making statements online.
Please link said statistics you are looking at, because I can’t find anything that remotely shows that.
Personally I always invite Demo locks, never the other 2
It’s not a lock issue, most people are getting trouble in entering keys. There’s a huge shortage in tanks and healers, so sometimes you’re applying to a +9 and Ret paladin Tom is also in the Q with 2500 io and every BiS item. You have to be a VERY good dps to be competitive viable this season, I do get invited often tho just not to the dungeons everyone wants like Mists, GB and Arak, prob because every big person is queueing up to it too
i made a similar post in the general forums and got roasted to death for just asking why its so hard to get into a group as aff. ofc the popular picks like DH warrior DK etc were like oh you need to get better blah blah blah.
Was literally asking why its so hard to even get into low keys just to establish some type of score. From what they say its all my fault im terrible and only melee deserves to skip the process that i was TRYING to do the correct way.
It used to be if you had an achievement or something people would consider you, but now they only want the best of the best ilvl 650 for a +2

I once on the PoE forums saw a guy write an opinion post like that, then when people disagreed with him he linked a response from ChatGPT about how good his opinion was. I was like, “Dude, you’re actually going validate your opinion with ChatGPT? Seriously?”. LOL
It’s getting out of control how many people I see today give tailored stats “as fact”, they don’t tell you the Date is cherry picked, the ilvl cherry picked or the percentile cherry picked. What every they can use to say their position is right in stead of actually having to challenged themselves on the merits.

One hundred percent.
The second anyone says anything akin to “I saw a poll/study/etc that shows…,” it’s immediately guilty until proven innocent.
People do that in real life when arguing politics too, and it’s beyond cringe. “I actually heard that…”
It’s almost like a subconscious passing of accountability. Like what they “heard” echoes their sentiment, but then if they’re proven wrong, “oh well yeah I just heard that.”
I’m fine with statistics and polling, love it in fact. But if you’re going to invoke them in an argument, cite it or don’t bring it up.

Ya, because what ends up happening you never actually find the truth or even the likely truth. Just look at all the YouTube videos giving out the class tier list before the Xpac dropped just to see 90% of what they stated as total BS. Then you have people who actually think those list are “The rock solid truth” and start blowing up when blizzard is nerfing their class because they think they are bottom tier when the logs show them in the top 5.
Not to mention what is the targeted people the post is talking to. Heroic, Mythic+, Mythic raid, delve. Some stats in M+ are drastically different than in a raid. Classes that are not so high in raids suddenly can truck delves. There is this YouTuber who’s video keep popping up and he listing “The top builds”, really the video is his opinion on what classes he likes to play, but he actually tries to pass it off as “The Numbers are in, here are the top classes”. His list didn’t even have Ehn Shaman on it. Ranked Ret as #3. DK not hardly mentioned at all. Then when I challenged him he got upset about it as if I’m picking on him for totally ignoring every chart at any ilvl showing ehn in the top 5 (at the time).
