Is it just me or do Ret Paladins generate a ridiculous amount of threat

Like any other class, I can hold threat against. Ret Paladins however come in divine storm and instantly have 1k threat.

Are they running righteous fury?

I have seen a ton of rets running rf because they want the mana back when they get healed.

But yah, if a ret just mongos in straight off the pull and mashes divine storm aint nothing you can do about that.

You are not crazy. I have noticed this as well. Checked buffs and they were not running RF. Seems like something is off?

Ret damage is very bursty and front loaded. if they proc SoC on their first auto along with a divine storm its just a big dmg spike in the first GCD which results in aggro loss.

if thats the case you just taunt after their opener and match it

Literally can’t DPS if you want to let the tank have aggro lol
