seriously, i’m playing survival, i send my pet at a mob with kill command, and IMMEDIATELY the mob attacks me, and ignores my pet. i’m not even in melee range, why are they latching onto me after one pet-based attack???

okay, i’ve swapped to a tenacity pet. it holds but… barely. i don’t understand, why would they make change it like this? i get wanting to have tanky pets seem different, but this makes the other pets feel useless in comparison.

frick, i use any ANY attack, and instantly i gain aggro! is this a joke? i REALLY am missing MoP, WoD hunter pets right-around now…
edit3: i am playing survival not bm. so if your just popping on to talk about how you never lose aggro, that’s cause your playing bm. not relevant to the topic at hand folks.

Are you using Misdirection onto your pet at the pull and whenever its up? Cause my pet has never lost aggro while I’ve been dpsing a mob unless it gets CC’d and then I can just Feign.

Get a tank pet.
If you aren’t using one they will only temporarily hold aggro.

I dont think that’s true anymore. I use a spirit beast and it never loses threat barring CC

I suppose true if you macro MD to your pet like you mentioned.
Any pet can be tanked specc’ed. The key is misdirection on cool down (if necessary).

I like when it aggros a rat and I get stuck on the ground for the next 20 minutes
It probably couldn’t even keep aggro on the rat, though, is the worst part.

I usually misdirect onto my pet when I pull something and unload all my big stuff first to give it a threat lead. That pretty much keeps the attention off of me till the thing is dead.
I don’t even have to target my pet to misdirect to it since I have a macro set up for it.

I focus target a tank when in a group so the tank gets my MD instead with that macro.

no, no i’m not. i’m seriously having issues keeping mobs on my pet rather than me. i send’em in, and instantly they ignore my pet and attack me. it’s VERY annoying. it’s like growl does’nt exist anymore.
do island expeditions count as an instance? cause, that’s what i’m doin.
even when not doing expeditions, i still have issues with this. even in bm, they ignore my pets unless i spam barbed-shot/stomp. it’s just… frikkin obnoxious.
