Is it impolite to say "you're welcome"?

OP is definitely a Karen.

People aren’t taught that anymore.

If that’s all it takes, I’d like a gofundme page because someone asked me if I was ok after I tripped. How dare they ask me about my personal life.

It’s not impolite.

You obviously have absolutely no idea what “You’re welcome” means.

It’s not people telling everyone “LOL yeah noob bow down”.

It’s “No problem! I was happy to help”.

Yes, because saying “my pleasure” to someone who thanks me for doing something for them instead of “you’re welcome” is totally a reason to never interact with anyone again.

Maybe you should, you know… read and at least attempt to comprehend what is being said. Just a thought.

Thank you, and… You’re welcome!

/slap again if the first didn’t work.

I often reply “Thanks for the key.”

Depends, if the healer had to really work to keep bad people alive then mayyybe. It’s still kinda rude and a d-move to do it if you got through whatever.

It’s group content so everyone kinda needs everyone lol.

I always say “you’re welcome” I don’t see how it is wrong after someone thanked you.

I would just say " thanks for mechagnome unlock that I finally did this horrible group thing I hate for. "

Just say “ggs friends,” as that will not open the opportunity for anyone to say such words!

I demand to speak to the manager.

GG means Good Game you dang youngin

I say “Thanks All” because all I really did was mash some keys and heroic leap OUT of the fight at random times on accident.

True, but they should learn real quick as they go through life.

Unless you can do it solo and felt sorry for those that can’t, YOU should be thanking the people that took it upon themselves to help YOU. Not the other way around you jerk.

Yep, same thing goes through my head.

I suppose. If I heard it, I wouldn’t think it weird. I’d think it was polite.

I don’t think this at all. Other people can say what they want to say, and be as polite as they want. It’s you in your head thinking that this has some kind of negative connotation. Don’t apply that logic to some other random human simply trying to be polite.

I agree. The only situation where it’d be viable, is if the individual was carrying the group.

It depends on how/when it’s being said. If they’re saying it before anyone says thank you or because they felt they were doing you an unasked for favor (whether they were or not). Then maybe, if it’s done in a tongue in cheek manner, which would be hard to discern via text, probably. Of course if it’s after everyone says thank you, then no.
