Is it honestly worth starting a fresh new character 1-70? Or should I stay on my character?

Hi, is it worth start all over again from 1-70? Been thinking of this for awhile, but I don’t wanna fall behind and I keep switching minds on what i wanna do. My paladin is 464ilvl now and if i started over, then i will be even farther behind. Let me know some advice thanks you.

Start over on a new class? If you’re not enjoying your paladin then I think it’s worth it. I barely started gearing a low ilvl alt a couple weeks ago and I’m already at 460 just doing some m+.

Easier to catch up now on alts than it’s really ever been. People have started over during much worse circumstances. Just work on getting the character to 70 when you aren’t playing your Paladin. You’ll be surprised how fast you can get it caught up to your main if you try.

Do you know any methods of leveling?

Can I ask why you’re thinking of starting over?

Spamming dungeons is pretty quick. I prefer to quest most of the time myself but I mix in dungeons as well. Is the Paladin the only character you play?

I’m bored of my paladin honestly. I’m not fond of that class anymore.

This is why I try to keep multiple characters at cap and not too far behind any “main” I’m currently playing. Means I always have another option if something gets stale or nerfed.

If this is the case, then yes it shouldn’t be too bad.

Hard part is when you hit 60. I find with some of my friends there is almost a depression like ‘oh no not this thing again’ because besides dungeons there’s only 4 levelling areas, likely of which you’ll still cover 2-3.

Get Emerald Dream done and just spam keys.

No reason you can’t level an alt in your downtime.

If you want to level fast I would suggest bfa. The xp is pretty fast and the dungeons are popping because all the new players get herded over there. I think draenor is considered the best xp for leveling without dungeons though so it depends on what you’re doing.

Its worth it and goes quickly… you’d be back to 464 in no time with a new character.

Yes, Alt’s are a good way to change it up and the upcoming expansion will improve alt’s progress. I usually have one of each class at max level.

Gear is being soft reset with S4 soon, and 464 is low ilvl this deep into the season, so you are overthinking it.

Somewhere around level 40 on all my alts I hit the this isn’t for me wall and while my main is taking a break I just can’t stomach the rest of the way especially at 60 on something new.

It wasn’t like this when I started WoW in 2016. I had loads of alts and geared in at least max questing areas.

Now, I’m more excited to just bumble around a starter zone killing boars or kobolds.

I’ve put so much time in my main and know the rotation so well that everything else feels bad. If I’m not mistaken you can PTR a max toon and see if it’s a good fit

I don’t see a reason why not to start a new alt if you’re bored of your current character.

As things are, you can sneeze and accidentally make 3 max level characters. Good time to experiment and see what you like.

Questing to unlock some unique transmog appearances along the way.

Dungeons for speed.

Pet battles offer a change of pace.

You can get to 2500 io score on two weeks on a freshly dinged 70, exclusively by putting, by no life grinding crest farms.

This being said… may as well wait til next season.

Honestly it doesn’t take that long,
My warlock went from 1 to 70 what 24 hours played…and is 469 in 2 weeks from 70 I know people that’s got the item level faster but I was taking my time

You’re not behind in what is a lull between seassons. You can either continue what you’re doing and increase your current ilevel for season 4.

Or…

You can level in a week. Then get the catchup gear either by doing the events or buying them with your paladin. With purchased and crafted stuff, you can be above 415-424 immediately after leveling. Then you still have a couple of weeks to get ready for season 4.
