Bulldust.
Current report just came out that Blizzard subs have gone down 29% while their stocks and annual earnings have gone up.
They’re not going to listen to anyones wallets because whales will always exists in games such as these.

I think we all need to be honest with ourselves and accept that most of us were addicted to WoW. Blizzard is no longer supplying us with a game on par with what we got addicted to so we are mad. Were it any other game, we’d have all just put the game down. But WoW is so hard to quit because of the memories and friends you have in the game, etc.
But ultimately, it is just a videogame and a pretty bad one at this point. I’m going to stick around and see what 9.2 and 9.3 bring. If there’s enough there to keep me interested, I will give the next expansion a try. I’ve seen this team make some really cool things. Legion was some of the best content ever imo. But they really dropped the ball with SL.
I’m also disappointed in the way they are catering WoW to esports and “hardcore” (raidlogger = hardcore now lmao) play.
So then what’s the point? If you know they aren’t going to change anything, why waste time? I don’t understand the point of complaining if it accomplishes nothing.
If you don’t think it accomplishes anything, why do you have a problem with it?
People have the right to complain on the forums, and contrary to what you may think, negative feedback can sometimes elicit the desired change.
I don’t have a problem with it all. My friendly advice is don’t pay people to make you unhappy, there are plenty of others that will do it for free. You are welcome to take it, or disregard it, as you see fit.
Sure seems like you do. Yours and Yesuna’s face are always first on any post critical of Blizzard devs.
what you missed is the classic section of the forum - most of those complaints are about classic/tbc
I mostly disagree with you as well. Can’t be bothered doing a blow by blow though.
this is a problem imo but only the underpowered state at the start of the expansion and sometimes after the major patches.
and this is because they only care about raid/mythic plus dungeons
everything else I disagree with you on.
I can’t speak for Yesuna, because even I think he/she is over the top, but you are confusing having a problem with something with general human concern.
I don’t want people paying a company they think is taking advantage of them anymore than I want to see someone stay with an abusive partner.
I’m not confusing anything.
You 100% have a problem with it or you wouldn’t be telling people to get lost.
Face it, you just dislike your favorite game is getting negative feedback and you only want happy smily faces and nice comments on here.
Nailed it! I feel the same way. I keep coming back expansion after expansion hoping for them to return to the systems that made WoW fun for me and I’m always let down.
At least I have Classic now though, I’m having a blast in that version of WoW still and it’s not nostalgia either.
I think a lot of us fell in love with a version of WoW that was created by actual developers that understood what it was to create a virtual fantasy world. They were not obsessed with MAUs, e-sport style content and bloated systems. They just made a fun game first and foremost which in turn caused people to want to play said game.
The current team either is devoid of talent or just has poor leadership steering the game in a funky direction. I personally think a lot of the woes of modern game pretty much lies on the shoulders of the Ion. His passion to make WoW into some kind of competitive e-sport has killed this game for many of the casual players that make up the bulk of the player base.
There are loads of historical examples of boycotts fomenting change. Google it.
The key to an effective boycott is that those boycotting have to be the actual demographic that buys the product or service. Northerners boycotting grits doesn’t accomplish anything.
You may feel as you like, but you are quite wrong. I don’t give 2 farts if you, or anyone, likes the game. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it. When I hate it, I unsub.
Last time: I am not telling you to get lost. I am telling you “it is not healthy to pay someone to make you unhappy.” No more. No less.
Just put these guys on ignore. All they will do is frustrate you into saying something that will get you banned. I don’t engage with these type of posters and my forum experience has gotten so much better.
Name one. If you’re going to claim that boycotts have worked, give me an example. I’m not going to do your work for you, since you’re the one trying to disprove my point.
Who wastes this much time countering negative comments as you do? Do you often dedicate this much time towards things you care 0% about?
Because it is in my nature to care about people’s well-being. As I said, you are welcome to do and believe as you wish, but it still remains you are attributing nefarious actions to me that just do not exist.
Big Kappa. HUGE .
I have no idea what that means, but… ok.
Good point about professions . I have them all across 7 chars , and yet I’ve only leveled alchemy , cooking , for the last 2 expacs . Sad sad sad z
