I would guess COVID house arrest gave them way more time to burn through the limited unfinished content they released after a months long delay.
But again, it’s just a guess.

That is a horrible way to talk about another person. Even if their views are different than yours.
+1 internet to anyone that read the entire OP, you a champ.
Doesn’t that happen every xpac?
It’s dried up a LOT faster than prior expacs. We also are getting a lot less content than we did in the past. It’s the wombo combo. And this is all during covid where you would expect people to nolife MORE.
My 2 cents, BC is free. They are including a new deluxe edition that comes with a mount. Not great, but also not the end of the world. Otherwise, the prices for character copies is way overpriced. However, making choices is part of life, if you want to play that character without making a choice between BC and classic, you need to pay for it.
I’m not sure why everyone is focusing on this, like it’s anything more. I’m more concerned with the retail updates.
Although, I can understand why some are upset that blizzard lied to the player base by announcing there would a long enough prepatch to level alts. But so much about this being a cash grab seems like an overreaction. (AN OVEREACTION IN 2021?!?! NO WAY!!!) But at least the community seems rallied behind something, even if that something is the destruction of Blizzard and TBC rollout.
I’m sure a lot of people are looking to checking out TBC with all drama over people who don’t want to pay to copy, double, multiply, their characters. Again, I understand the frustration, but it’s easy enough to simply ignore it all and get TBC for free with a sub fee. I will be giving them 0$ extra. If they want more money, they can lower their prices. Nothing else.
Every group brings melee for the interrupts what are you even talking about. Any 3 casters group doesn’t know what they are doing.
So I guess it is starting to happen, nice to see blizzard cut the prices for moving your toon from classic to vanilla.
It honestly surprises me how many people are more than ok with blizzard screwing them over and the level of ignorance they have for them “If you don’t like it leave”…I’m sorry but I am allowed to not like greed and say something about it.
I wanna see less s**t like the store mounts and cosmetics and more in game rewards…for you know acutally playing the game and not with my wallet, kinda alarming how many are content with less than sub par service.
Wait, we can get to Vanilla? I thought Classic was what Blizzard offered, and Vanilla servers were all bootleg?
Perfectly stated OP, and 110% spot on!
He doesn’t have a problem with others playing, like it was said, everyone has their own decision to make if they want to continue playing. He simply wants to know others opinions on the state of the game.
As for people telling him to have his account deleted, they really cant understand he may not like the car anymore, but hes gonna use the gas left in it…
Like it was stated earlier, Blizzard only looks at where their money is coming from and literally couldn’t give less of an epic flying crap what anyone on any forum ever says, ever.
Now most people who have reached that point of unsubbing have done so without any announcements or forum posts. They are the individuals who DID vote with their wallets, and have moved on with their lives. This will work for all of us on an individual level. And ultimately we all will find our own ways to move on.
But Blizzard WANTS us to do this, they just want us all to be individual clients so that they can deal with us one at a time, whether its leaving, complaing, or both! Blizzard has successfully taken all the power from its playerbase by simply shrugging off the many, many pleas of frustrated individuals who are unhappy with the state of their game. Like a crappy landlord that never fixes anyones individual problems, but only acts when the entire neighboorhood is up in arms.
And OP is right!! why do certain WoW players seem to be content with the piss poor job Blizzard has done, can anyone really say they’ve been happy waiting like 8 months for a new patch…while loot drops get nerfed, classes get grossly unbalanced and pvp gear is held by gatekeeping Pay To Win booster groups? If that’s your definition of fun I’d like to be subjected to a tragedy.
We spent our money and our time on this and everyone here should have a stake in it, WE put food on their tables, WE put champagne in their luxury yachts for over a decade! And what did we get in return? The “Blizz knows best” mentality, and to watch our game slowly deteriorate where it could’ve improved.
Our collective voices should’ve had more of an influence, and impacted more of the game (Like Leeroy, or Red Shirt Guy). but instead they’ve shown us it was just our money that did the talking. and as it turns out, unsurprisingly, Blizzards true colors are green.
The difference of an individual silently unsubing and moving on with their life or the masses unsubbing all together is done only for whether or not you want your/our voices to be heard. a small drop of water can bore through the stone . In this case, we have to beat them at their own games, Speak your opinion, organize and encourage our fellow gamers to massive unsubathons. We already know what does the talking for us, we already know the only thing they will listen to. We are all Gamers and this used to be an MMO, banding together is what we were good at.
I have less than ten days left on my sub, I am happy to finally be free, but with a heavy heart having to put down a game truly close to me that was like no other, but has become something other than what it used to be, you know the feelz. In the words of Saurfang “Let it be finished”.
I cant emphasize enough how meaningful it would be -if your frustrated at the state of this game, to join me. And don’t forget to share your opinions on the way out.
This can be added… Is it: The lame rating system requirements to upgrade PVP gear.
