Is it even possible to kill nzoth

It is possible . Did it on both this toon and Alliance hunter and got it on the Alliance one today with less then 10 stacks of Determined not to follow Mechanics

In a very casual and small raiding guild, we’re usually like 15-18 players at most on a good day, as low as 12-14 on bad days. We killed N’zoth on Normal and working on him now for Heroic. It is definitely harder with a smaller raid group, the more players helps cover some of the tighter interrupt or switch mechanics.

If you’re complaining about something as simple as boss mechanics and you don’t wanna take the time to learn them and fix your mistakes, then you’re not ready for raiding.

How many wipes do you think is acceptable to learn all the phases and mechanics of a boss?

The fact that you’re IL 442 and you’re complaining about mechanics on this one boss shows that you were carried through content for gear. You didn’t make posts complaining about boss mechanics in Uldir, dazar’alor, crucible, or eternal palace when they were relevant. So why are you upset with this one boss compared to all the others?

Just requires a little bit of coordination. I’ve got the Normal kill as well as Heroic AoTC.

The biggest thing to look out for is sanity management. Everyone needs to use their action button at the right time and follow mechanics to not wastefully lose sanity. Getting hit by the bad stuff in early phases will come back to bite you in the last phase. Paranoia seems to get people a lot, as well as the Psycus group standing in bad stuff and taking too long to kill him.

The last phase is actually the easy part imo. The problem is, that’s also when people start to go insane from poorly managing their sanity in the previous phases. During the Thought Harvester spawns, the golden rule is Low Sanity Out, High Sanity Soak. Try to stack the Anguish puddles in a compact spot, and leave room so you can easily avoid the laser beams that N’zoth shoots out occasionally. And most importantly, refresh your sanity when low!

50? Ha
Took 83 for my week 1 AotC

If you think this boss has a lot of mechanics…

Majority think smaller (2/2/6) is better
Less idiots too

It’s very similar to the Yogg fight in Ulduar.
It makes the fight interesting.

N’Zoth should not be your average starting zone tank and spank mob.

I kill him once with 4 attemps on a group with 10 stacks.
(People failed to kill tentacles and mass dispell)

Kill the bad guy on tentacle, after he die, get to your corpse and click on it.

  • 2 group (including 1 tank) stay up to DPS the tentacles. Stack and kill the eye tentacles asap and mass dispell. Kill remaining adds.
  • 3 groups in the mind realm (get sanity up before getting in there).

Avoid being pulled to the darker area, if you do, get out fast.

It will be easier in the near future when most people have learn the mechanics.

It is quite simple to do .

You have to follow mechanics even in lfr .

You can have 10 stacks of Determined not to Follow Mechanics and you won’t kill him as long as people refuse to do so .

Mass dispel what?

it’s easier with less people. Probably easiest boss for 10ppl

Difficulty gets dramatically higher with every extra person in raid, cause one person losing sanity starts to drain it from others and it’s a snowball from there

The “Corrupted Mind” debuff from the Corruptor Tentacles whenever they don’t get kicked.

It’s the final boss in the last raid of an expansion, and we’ll have had almost a year between 8.3 and Shadowlands. It’s meant to be challenging.
