Is it "Cringe" to

name your WoW characters after characters from other media like anime and other video games?

I’ve got a few. They’re mostly named after anime characters. Sometimes I try to make them look like who they’re named after and sometimes not like Straiso here. I’d say it only becomes cringe when you try to RP as that character.

What do you all think?

I don’t know. I just know that I cringe when I remember my monk named Jotaro with a bunch of alt codes who I used to spam “ORA ORA ORA” with

Then you must be He-Man

I know people don’t like the word cringe but I feel like no other word really has the same meaning. Like digust? Embarrased for? idk

I think I try to avoid any usage of the word cringe

If you do xX (name) Xx or some variation of it then you are fine.

I wanted to be xXSephirothXx but it was taken so I had to be Erthan!

Its cringe. Don’t do it. Even a randomly generated name is better. No alt codes either.

You actually can’t do xxnamexx

It’s blocked, I have tried many times

Part of WoW’s asthetic is to have thinly-veiled references/parodies of celebrities and characters from other IPs, so my cringing, though it happens, is limited.

Yes, it’s cringe

No. Although, the only names that I’ve gotten sick of seeing over the years are different variations of Illidan and Legolas…

Illilas and Legodan

You’re cringe, and that’s based. You will never be based, and that’s not cringe.
