Why isn’t it a reportable offence to queue into lfr as a healer but play as dps? I mean, I get it if people are all over geared for it, but when most of the group isn’t the 5 healers are needed.

If you end up queuing as a healer but decide to roll as DPS, expect to get kicked for miscommunication/misinformation. I invited you to be a healer. Simple as that.

Because there’s no reason for that to be in the EULA. Either you care enough as a group to boot them, or you’re fine with fewer healers and kill things faster than you would with 1 fewer dps.

It’s not that big of a deal in low end content.
Getting you inner Karen all worked up over it is silly.
I enjoy kicking the top DPS if they’re supposed to heal.

Nah…I run LFR on many toons all the time and this just does not happen.
Someone can’t read.
I guarantee those several people are dying from standing in avoidable damage, not because one healer is dps’ing.

When I do LFR I queue as healer but DPS. Nobody complains because I’m doing 20-30% of the DPS.
There’s almost no damage going out in LFR at this point in the season.
If it’s really an overgeared group, then it seems like nobody would mind if you just occupy your time dpsing in healing spec. Yeah, it won’t be as much dps, but the group is overpowered and things are going to be over pretty quick anyway.
But if things go bad, for some reason, it’s good to be in healing spec.

Most LFR wipes have nothing to do with how many healers are healing. IE: if you wiped on gally there’s a 90% chance it was because nobody did the bomb mechanic or someone picked it up and died (sometimes on purpose to troll).

If people are not dying from lack of heals (which could mean they are still dying from standing in 1shot mechanics or taking more damage than an average (or 5 average, if LFR) performing healer(s) at that level could reasonably heal) then don’t kick them out
LFR - like PvP - should force you into the role you queued for.

Because I’m the only person who is going to be dealing damage in the LFR. Everyone else is AFK.
I don’t think it should role-lock you if the group is fine with you changing it, but it should at least put you in the right spec, same with TW dungeons.
Bold of you to assume people in LFR actually understand the game enough to know why people are dying.

I’d have no issue with this, if the DPS could actually heal and keep the group alive.
But they don’t- 1 tank and 4 dps tends not to work out unless folks are overgeared. Same in raids.
Scaling makes it even more difficult.
Whatever you queued as, is what I expect you to be.
Stop trying to bypass the queue, unless you’re ready to heal.
