Which time is she referring to? I need a memory jog.
Thanks!

The mana-bomb at Theramore that Garrosh dropped on her last time she was the leader of city and had people depending on her.
Thank you. Which expansion can I find that story in?
Mists of Pandaria. Fall of Theramore scenario.
I believe that was part of Cataclysm… maybe Mists…?
Edit: Fenshire was faster and more confident in his answer. Go with that.
Technically part of the launch event for Mists, but you can still do a level 90 version of the scenario
inb4 he is a bomb, and sylvanas tells proudmoore that baine knew and went along with it.
Im hopeing that Baine was under Sylvanas control. She used to be able to perma mind control people back in warcraft 3. She needs to use that abilty more.
It was also Baine who warned Jaina of the impending attack on Theramore by Garrosh.
that’s quite the useful ability. would like to see some of that used.
This actually bugged me in the cinematic, because so much context was NOT in the actual game at the time. Pre-Cataclysm in one of the novels, when Varian sent Anduin to Ironforge to learn from King Magni, Anduin was gifted a magical mace called Fearbreaker, and was witness to Magni being turned into diamond.
Later during the pre-MoP novel, Anduin gives Fearbreaker to Baine during an encounter, and Baine returns it to Jaina when forewarning about Garrosh’s impending Mana Bomb attack. So… while it’s nice that Baine mentions it on the boat, there’s ZERO ACTUAL IN-GAME BACKUP to show this moment in time.
Kinda like the whole Garrosh/Cairne mak’gora fight that gets talked about, but never actually gets shown outside the book. Or the recent murdering of Forsaken citizens by Sylvanas, including killing Calia Menethil, and the subsequent Naaru resurrection of Calia into a Lightforged undead. All really cool stuff, all only via novels.
Blizzard really needs to help put some of that as a recap into the game in some format.
Ah yes give her mind control powers again, and then any moral argument about Forsaken having “free will” goes right down the drain.
Just because she may have that power doesnt mean its used on the entire race.
It doesn’t matter if she uses it on the entire Forsaken or not, the moment its suggested she can use it is when any possibility of morality disappears. At that point how can you really prove they’re not controlled or not?
Only on the subjects who weren’t going to already do what she wanted, amirite?
Anduin is a priest which has mind control abilities, should I instantly assume all humans are mind controlled?
Talajani is also a priest, are the Zandalari mindcontrolled?
Behold your own slippery slope, clearly any character that can mind control must mean they use it on everyone. You clearly cant prove otherwise so all morality must go away.
Geuss, by your stance, the Alliance isnt moral.
Yes but gary wanted alliance forces clustered at theramore on purpose.
He didnt tell his own troops about the bomb. And the ground assault failed on theramore.
On ally side calia is mentioned after the raid. So she may show up soon.
I was pleasntly surprised to see the goblin and gnome couple in game from the book. The books made believe they died.
