I played HC back when it launched and enjoyed it. Never made it past level 20, but still had fun. I wanted to play it again, but I see two servers with a low population.
Is there any community on these servers? Am I going to be able to find a group for anything?
Skull Rock Horde has been a blast ! I keep dying around lvl 18 but getting better !!
I don’t play Horde, but I did create a new character on both Defias and Skull rock and I did see people running around, new characters being created and such so I have some hope.

I’ve been on rolling and rerolling for a good month now (Defias Horde). I’ve healed RFC once and WC once; turned down a few other occasions to heal. There’s always someone out there to rescue help out or group with. Most times I’ve found people waiting at a quest spot, and they’ll send an invite if they see you there waiting for the same thing in many cases. That’s 1-20, which seems pretty active, way more active than Old Blanchy, which was my era server.
As to mid and high level experience I haven’t seen that yet. I have a graveyard full of characters about 25-30. It took some time for me to readjust to the HC gameplay. I am dying a lot in the teens; just crossing over into the Barrens zone.
I am on defias alliance and having a blast, got a 37 warrior and started a priest that i funnelled some gear to, and a rogue.
Got to keep the bench stacked its hardcore lol.
But the LFG channel is always popping off, the death alerts are frequent and sobering, errbody dying.
I am enjoying hardcore more than era and cata for sure. I am a warrior so i make my own groups when i feel like doing a dungeon, but it looks to be super, super active.
So dive in. I will be making a horde soon as well just to throw some flavor into my gaming time.

You can log in any time of day on DP and it’s popping off.
LFG is always scrolling and it’s not just people paying mages for boosts or pvp rank

at least for what I can attest to, DP alliance is doing great and actually doing better than it has 3 months ago
Legit had 4 layers on DP at 10 AM server time today.
DP has daily world buffs most days 2 rounds of then
DP Alliance has an okay community. DP Horde, Skull Rock Alliance and Skull Rock Horde feel pretty dead.
And before people come in saying “I see people on Skull Rock all the time! I’m level 15!”. Yes, there are level 15s. But if you want to run 60 content, you’re super limited. About 1-2 guilds really clearing anything, very few dungeons being run. It’s rough.
DP Alliance feels like essentially you’re only option to play HC now unless you just want some SSF adventure, in which case you can play anywhere.
