Title. I skipped out on PVP from like, Feb to June and few things changed in the meantime that I’m still catching up. Does ghost wolf no longer have a way to heal 3% passively every…I think it was 6 seconds.
The talent you’re thinking of was called Spectral Recovery, and yes it was removed in the most recent patch.
Did they say why?
I don’t think so, it was just in the 10.1 notes with no comments. Maybe it wasn’t used much?
I wish theyd ha e baked it into one of the existing wolf talents, then. I loved that ability in arena.
Spectral Recovery - While in Ghost Wolf, you heal 3% health every 2 sec.
Increases the movement speed of Ghost Wolf by an additional 10%.
Spectral Recovery along with Swelling Waves were removed in patch 10.1. In return we got Burrow (all specs) and Stormweaver (enhancement). Not sure if the other specs got a second new PvP talent.
It was done to tone down shaman healing in PvP. In the case of enhancement, the removal of these talents plus other heavy handed nerfs to baseline healing in PvP, left our ability to heal in PvP near non-existant.
I also loved Spectral Recovery and would always take it. I only do random BGs and World PvP and loved it in those environments. It would be great if they baked it into Ancestral Wolf Affinity. Unlike Swelling Waves, the return of Spectral Recovery in some form wouldn’t be a big deal in terms of Blizzard trying to keep shaman healing in PvP in check.
Summed up perfectly
I guess i could see how for Enhancement it was strong, but as a resto, when im trying to live those 3% ticks really give you some breathing room.
Fixed: Is healing completely gone in PVP?
Yes. Yes it is.
