Is Gallywix Still The Goblin Leader?

Because it looks like Gazlowe seamlessly replaced him :open_mouth:

It’s because secretly gallywix is the new warchief. You ruined their big blizzcon announcement!

Gazlowe and his crew are actually part of the Steemweedle Cartel, but tbey seem to be quite a bit more independant in BFA.

As I understand it, the Trade Prince of the Bilgewater Cartel is whoever has the most Macaroons, which is probably still Gallywix

That can change so fast.

Goblins are capitalism given flesh. If the Horde gives Gazlowe a job as Trade Prince, he will change cartels faster than I can say “Succumb to my Succubus”.

And he will bring his whole team with him.

Ding ding. He was the next in line to be Warchief with everyone else rebelling.

Gallywix could’ve bailed leaving Gazlowe and crew as the reps. Though I wouldn’t mind Gallywix given the boot.

Gallywix burned all of his incriminating documents in preparation for Sylvanas getting the boot. He’s fine.

I don’t think Gazlowe would really change sides. Officially he and the Steamwheedle Cartel are neutral, but unofficially he’s supporting the Horde. So he’s kind of benefiting from a cozy position on both sides.

He has no claim or control over the Bilgewater goblins though. They still have to listen to Gallywix.

He still is. Technically.
Here’s hoping he does get the boot, because Gazlowe is a bro.

Sure. But why is Gazlowe doing all the Faction Leader fluff in Orgrimmar instead of Gallywix?

Gallywix is a kinda funny character and one of the few the honorable racial horde leaders at this point considering most of the other ones went behinds Sylvanas’s back, so I hope nothing bad ever happens to that dude.

HONORABLE!?!? You’re kidding right?

Relative to the other Horde racial leaders whom became traitors, yes I would say he’s honorable in that sense.

Probably more loyal then honorable. Loyal to his wallet.

I’m confused! In classic, the Horde hired the Steamweedle Cartel for Zepplin ferry service and other services and then in Cata, the Bilgewater Cartel took over for the Steamweedle Cartel. Did the Horde break the contract with one cartel to invite another cartel into the Horde?

No. The Steamwheedle Cartel is a neutral business. They would have to forsake their Alliance business partners to join the Horde, which they have quite a few of.

Gazlowe is part of the Steamwheedle Cartel, but he is not the Steamwheedle Cartel. He has already chosen the Horde’s side. Many times over. He built Orgrimmar. He built the Horde Garrison. He fought for the Horde in BfA.

It wouldn’t take much more than a job offering as the new Trade Prince for Gazlowe to change Cartels.

I like Gallywix. He’s a jerk, yeah, but I think he’s pretty funny and I am happy that he has more involvement in the story.

That said, I think Sassy Hardwrench should’ve replaced him as leader of the Bilgewater goblins. She was the real brains behind the Goblin PC in the starting zone. Thrall allowing Gallywix to remain leader made no sense to me.

I wouldn’t be too sure. He didn’t get MUCH focus in 8.2.5, but from the way he was talking about Sylvie
seems she owed him QUITE a bit of money for arming and funding this war (on top of his own frivolous spending). Honestly, his absence at the funeral (and Gazlowe acting as a voice of authority afterwards)
 is telling.

Gallywix might have just lost himself (and perhaps even the WHOLE cartel) quit a bit backing Windrunner (who just pulled the biggest dine-and-dash in history).
