I’m not even a sham player nor do I q with shamans
Every time an enemy shaman drops a grounding a lot of the time they are nearly insta sniped. I see this a lot in shuffle and sometimes in 3s when I play with random partners from LFG
I would consider myself good at killing totems and now at times I can’t even target them before they’re dead
Pretty positive you can’t insta kill a grounding totem until about 3 seconds unless you directly target it.
I do know there was a bug with Balance Druids though where whenever they would Incarn, and only when in Incarn, their Starsurges would insta kill the totem without even targeting it at all, which shouldn’t happen.
I saw an edited plate that made the grounding totem nameplate literally the entire screen with opacity to see through. You’d only have to stop moving to get your cursor and hit whatever ranged instant ability on a mouseover macro.
That’s literally worse than original tbc pet and targeting macros.
They just need to make it fade 2.0 and be done with it
i assume it functions like catharsis where grounding eats spell so gem that procced off spell now procs on the grounding instead of the player that didnt get hit by the original spell
Did you play with the og macros? It wasn’t an awareness thing you just baked totem stomping into your rotation on a petattack or a cheap quick ability like hamstring and it would automatically kill totems. This at the bare minimum requires intent to react to your WA.
I think letting shamans move and pick where totems drop was one of the better QoL changes to how the whackamole works.
Kinda wish there was still a true vertical map like old BEM tho so shaman could drop totems on the other axis and just have an advantage. Truely tilting to fight.
Unless there is a new map that has better verticality I haven’t seen yet.
I remember original tbc death knight. You just macro’ed the giant copypasta of totem stomping into all of your abilities and your ghoul insta killed them no matter what else you were doing.
