If I look at the classes that have at least one DW spec, I count 5
Warrior, DK, Shaman, Rogue, and Demon Hunter with a spec count of 8.
If I look at the 2hander spec, I see:
Warrior, DK, and Paladin. 4
I’ve complained infrequently but often that the dual wield market is oversaturated and, because of that, hard to have a unique spec identity.
To this end, maybe the solution to making Enhancement something of a unique DPS class is to either give enhancement a 2hander and remove DW (making the count 7 and 5). Or give it the option to be the only DPS class using a weapon and a shield, and actually make the shield something that does damage (spells wise, to distance it from Prot).
Just an idea I had and one I’d like to explore, but then again, I don’t play enhancement.
its a good thing the devs dont listen to the players because they are to dumb to know what the real issues are so its a good thing the devs dont listen to players.
The irony of this post. You say the same thing at the beginning, and end of the sentence, which only needs to be said once to not sound like a toddler, you have a lack of punctuation, and use “to” instead of “too,” all while calling someone else dumb.
I’d say the “problem” with the spec is that from a flavor standpoint it seems like it should be utilizing int/spell power also. But the spec isn’t that bad.
I’m glad that you two are peas in a pod, but this isn’t about numbers or rotation - it’s about class flavor.
This is something number-junkies struggle with, but designers have to come up with eight different classes currently that they not only need to make somewhat unique from one another, but also unique from the other specs the individual classes have.
I’m not disagreeing with either of your current state arguments - I just think it belongs in another thread.
I’d even be cool with taking FT and FB off global but leaving them as is. That would free up our GCD rotation a good bit and decrease our ramp up time.
I do like having the medium ranged attack they offer and if we don’t get shocks back then at least it’s something.
