Is Enhancement viable for hard solo content?

Hi everyone,

I get a new account to return to the game after expansions of break and I have this requirements:

  1. I want to complete almost all achievements related to quests, exploration and old content like dungeons and raids.
  2. I like to solo content sometimes, like elite quests.

So my question: Is a Shaman Enhancement viable for what I want to do?
I like the dual wield and class fantasy.

And consider this for answers please:

  1. I don’t care for speed, i just want to be possible.
  2. I know that other classes are better.
  3. I don’t care for the meta. Meta always change and I will take a lot of time to land on today’s content.

So, Do I will be happy with my Shaman Enhancement or is almost impossible to do my requirements?

Assuming you don’t outgear whatever you’re fighting, you can manage, but would just be better off as ele.

They took out everything that made it actually kinda fun and effective in Legion.

Ive done everything with my shaman. And for harder elites I use my earth elemental to tank for me. I cant answer if they are good in dungeon as I focus on solo content. I did Mythic 0 and 1 back in 8.0 but I dont have the friends or patience anymore lol :slight_smile: Edit: Also take that capacitator totem talent. I use it in my rotation and it helps a lot while in the world.

Yes. Because you have self healing and can summon rock boi to tank elites, bloodlust and burn anything down

I find that Shaman has a pretty diverse tool kit for doing open world content. Ghost wolf helps for kiting, ranged interrupt, earth elemental to help tank, group stun, etc.

Sorry, but can I summom earth elemental with enhancement? Everyone talk about earth elemental but I’m looking for a Enhancement Shaman.

Enhancement has the earth elemental too…

Enhancement is fine for regular open world content… I have a poorly geared alt and I haven’t run into anything that I found to be a block.

for leveling quests i do not think there are any specs that are unable to do them so long as you are properly geared and around the same level. some specs are inherently better than others at them yes, but i’m almost certain all specs can solo most outdoor leveling content with very little exceptions.

all shaman get both Fire and Earth Elemental summons as offensive and defensive CDs, think Elemental spec gets to upgrade them though.

If you are going for this I suggest you to level up a hunter too, some old achievements require at least 2 players to complete, hunter’s pets usually can do the job.

I do my initial rep grinds as Enhancement. I like Water Walking (which applies to mounts too) and the elemental pet if you need a tank for something. Elemental has those too but I just prefer smacking mobs in the face with my two hammers.
