I usually main healer but i’m looking for a DPS spec, possibly with a healer off-spec.
I know resto shaman isn’t good now and I’m of course considering druid as well, but i’m not sure I like balance.
So my question here is how good is elemental now compared to other casters? Enhancement is also an option of course.

Like every DPS, they’re fine if you dont do super high keys or top tier mythic. they re falling below almost every specs in damage though.

Well from the recent statistics in Heroic Raid Elemental are placed 21st out of 25, while Enhance is 7th
M+ in high keys Elementals are struggling, but mid keys they’ll be fine but 17 keys higher you’ll start to see the gap. Melee is highly desired Id be Enhance.
Personally if you love the class go for it but I’d 100% go Enhance, Elemental if you have guild or group of friends to do PvE content you’ll have no issues.
If you like to PuG go Druid hands down or Enhancement.
They are ok. Not the worst, but not the best. If you want to go with “good”, I would invest in enhance.

I can guarantee that escales equaly many other DPS specs. I’m playing with elemental and doing more dmg than enhanc for being better with it, even knowing exactly what to do as enhanc.
Really that you’re giving the guy the non filtered statistics that include trash mobs from the dg? If you click “only bosses” on options you’ll see elemental extremely above.
Do you realise that Adds are part of the fights and that trash are parts of Mythic + ?

No. You have no idea what you’re talking about. There isn’t a single raid leader in the entire world since this game begun that cares or have the right to care for dps on trash mobs inside a raid, that is absolutely non-sense and i’m 100% sure of what I’m saying.
Ads as part of the fight count as boss fight, I’m talking about trash mobs, it’s OBVIOUS that the statistic “bosses only” takes every enemy NPC that’s in the encounter.
i’m not talking about trash mobs i’m talking about ADDS during a fight.

Why are they so far behind ? Simply because they cant have to choose between ST or AOE and it will be detrimental to the side you do not chose.
