how can it be spam when its private messages going out to single individuals. Spam would be to send the same persone 10 of the same message in 2 minutes…ect. One message sent to an individual could hardly be called spam.
if i got the same message in less then 2 min id report it as spam and put u on ignore.
Unwanted and unsolicited advertisements for guilds or anything else is considered spam. Just like those millions of robo calls that go out about your car’s extended warranty are considered spam.
This thread is 4 years old by the way. Bumping it is also considered… spam.

I’ve seen an unusual amount of forum necromancy lately. I recognized this one, I even even see a post from myself in this thread, it was RIGHT before I quit in Shadowlands, not expecting to return.

There’s services and guild recruitment channels. If you whisper me a guild advertisement at all, I will report you, because that’s extremely annoying. And while this is a heck of a necro, this annoyance applied in Shadowlands too. Was during Dragonflight I decided to just start reporting dook like this because I got sick of it and there were now plenty of alternative methods.

I agree. I would report any unsolicited guild invite as spam. You risk having your account silenced (or possibly suspended) if the reports and infraction become excessive.
Those should be considered criminal!!

Google beings them up. It’s not that uncommon and new posters tend to miss that there are dates attached to the posts.
