Is Druid the best class for soloing/WQ/Dungeons?

I think (so far) that Druid is the way to go if you are all about the soloing, WQ, Dungeon level exploring. The QoL for doing all that is awesome (insta flight, herbalism on ‘the fly’, stealth mode, etc)! The only other class that I can see that even comes close is maybe the Death Knight or Warlock?

Honestly, I solo better and faster and on my Prot Pally and Havoc DH.

Really? Wow! I can see DH, but Prot Pally?

Just gather mobs around you and take them out… The number of mobs depends on your gear but you can really stack them better than a druid. And then you get 100% heal and a protection shield if you need it.

I have it between druid and hunter.

I can favor hunter more for better aoe one shot. if everything must die for max farming chances in legacy runs…multishot is liked alot.

Not hunter?

While I was perusing around the webs, I saw some comments about how they can’t or don’t solo as much these days. Not sure because of BM nerfs or just BM Hunters not happy because they aren’t the meta they once were?

Druids have everyone beat for gathering, but Paladin and DK are the best at mowing down large groups imo.
Any of the tank specs can solo most open world encounters outside of world bosses.

I think he is the best (although I say that without playing all classes). I used to main rogue and I loved him. But most of what I do is solo and I really didn’t like that I can’t solo certain content that I know other classes can.

Biggest reason I loved rogue is for the stealth. So I switched to Druid and so far I haven’t regretted it. As Guardian I can solo most everything and I get to keep my stealth.

I also go in waves of doing PvP. Haven’t done much this expansion (something about it didn’t sit right with me)…but I enjoy PvP on my rogue. Jury is still out if I’ll like PvP on druid. I also like to dabble in healing for PvP so druid fits that too.

So as of now I’m going druid main next expansion. Have gone rogue since cataclysm so it might be hard to give him up.

Druid is second to hunter on my list for soloing. I still have to use a modest amount of brain power to play druid.

If I’m ever feeling /really/ lazy I afk with my pet on defensive in a WQ spawn. I make and enjoy a snack to return to the quest completed.

Gathering on the fly I usually use the harvester for, and it never dawns on me to just pick herbs out in the wild.

honestly i agree with them, i’ve been a bear druid main since SL launched but finished leveling my paladin last week, and noticed immediately after i switched to prot that it’s better. i can gather up a ton of mobs on both, but they seem like they die far faster as paladin and i can heal myself endlessly (granted bears can usually do that too)

i sure miss the instant cast mounts and stealth though

That’s what I’m talking about. Instacast fly and stealth. If you are a Night Elf, you get the added speed bonuses (including stealth speed bonus, corpse recovery speed bonus). Oh, and…Shadowmeld!

one of the most important stats for dungeon running/raid farms is speed w/ stealth. You correctly pointed out that druids don’t need any items or consumables to achieve this - it’s all natural class power

def one of if not the best for that activity OP :100:

There’s no feeling like chain-pulling an entire zone with moonfire on the run.

AND BREZ! I’ve been in instances where they wished they had brez, but nobody did (including me, I was playing a non-brez class).
