Is druid mount speed slower than regular mounts now?

I see people running past me in raptor form. Does this mean they slowed it for SLs? I thought I remember something like that. Can I do anything to speed back up to normal mount speed?

Travel form is 200% movement speed. Mount with guild perk is 210%. Deja stats addon will show you your movement speed in your character stats screen if you want to see it.

Also, if you shift into travel form while in combat, the movement speed bonus is reduced from 100% to 40%.

40% in pvp as well, if this happens to be what OP is referring to

I brought this up before.

I’m using my class hall mount and I’m not getting my guild perk 10% added. The gm tickets back failed to really understand what I was saying.

There is an inconstancy to when it is applied and when it isn’t. I’d like them add it to all aspects of the game but sadly it isn’t.

One zone your travel form aka class hall mount cause we can’t fly is 200% and in others its 210% . . .so wtf?

Don’t forget that mount equipment doesn’t effect our travel form

Also true,

Sure I understand its “instant” but its the class perk. Mages don’t need a hearthstone per say and they get around better than another class.

So I’m all for Druids getting their class hall mount aka the ground one since the bird one can’t be seen/used till we can fly the perks just like everybody else.

I’ve had to race shredder mounts for herbs, if I’m not mistaken we move the same speed.

Our travel forms have always given us advantage for herbing and quest item interaction. The shredder was added to give other classes simular options.

Our travel form works in places other mounts don’t (Maw is example)

Due to this Blizzard decided our travel forms don’t get to benefit from mount speed boosts.

I think I know what OP is talking about. I think travel form speed was reduced in combat already in bfa, but now in SL i’m having a lot of trouble even out of combat getting that 140% movement speed back up to the 200% travel speed from out-of-combat. It used to be that it would automatically change back and now i’m having to cancel travel/stag form, then go back into it to reset the mount speed. It’s a slow but continual QoL nerf =(

It has never auto changed to out of combat 200% speed for a long time, if ever

I prefer it when you don’t automatically change from in-combat travel to out-of-combat travel, cause, well, in-combat travel can benefit from speed boosts. Out-of-combat travel can’t.

This can result in strange situations where your in-combat travel is faster than out-of-combat travel. I actually have a speed twink that runs at 211% movespeed baseline in in-combat travel, but only 200% in out-of-combat travel.

How do you do that?

100% Normal movespeed
+40% Travel Form (In Combat)
+20% Swiftness of Malorne (PvP Talent, Feral and Guardian only)
+15% Feral Affinity (IC Travel Form only, does not work with OoC Travel Form)
+18% One-of-a-kind speed twink boots.
+18% Speed Tertiary from sockets filled with SL gems and gear with speed tertiary on it.
All totaled, that’s 211% movespeed in in combat travel.

I actually like that Mounts can be faster than travel form. Travel form’s perks are quite nice. But i also like having a reason to use my mounts. And it makes sense. Riding an animal bred, or that is really well suited for travel, is better than wearing myself out flapping all over the place

Not sure what alternate universe I live in but my travel form is never equivalent in speed to other players mounts. Whether it’s open world, battlegrounds, raids *
(When Outdoors( dungeons, etc. my travel form always falls behind even when our of combat,

Starting to think I don’t have something unlocked, lol.

Travel form doesn’t benefit from a guild’s +10% mounted speed (for a total of 210% movement speed while mounted). So other people will slowly outpace your Out of Combat travel form speed(200%) with their 210% mounted speed.

That could be what you’re seeing.

Additionally, Travel form L2 doesn’t function in Battlegrounds or arenas, thus reducing the bonus to 140% movement speed (but, since it acts like in-combat travel form, it can benefit from speed boosts like Feral Affinity, Speed tertiary, Malorne’s Swiftness, Meme speed twink boots, Stamp Roar…)
