Every r1 on EU is absolutely toxic. Those people are pure business when it comes to arena. They dont seem to have an interest in socializing or having fun.
On NA it seems like most of the successful, tournament player multi r1s are decent people. However, Its the 1-2 time rmpala and destro/x/x bfa rank 1s who have huge egos because they actually think theyre good at the game.

if you watch right drainer is also doing many mistakes but people usually don’t give him credit for it because it’s the most boring thing to argue to drainer and it’s pointless because he has an attitude of being perfect.
i still remember playing w him in legion and losing cuz he did mistakes, it is what it is

Then you win an actual pro competition and blizzard throws you bread crumbs
They picked the wrong game to make a career and now they’re stuck with resentment

I dont think its fair to categorize rank 1 players as like minded. If someones toxic its not because they are r1 and vice versa. There are a lot of different personalities and i think there are just as many toxic low rated players, they just arent as loud because they dont have the cr or achievements to back them up

I mean he’s earned some of his ego from his AT days playing a game where you can actually stand out from other players.
BFA/Legion though the difference in the very best and the 10th best isn’t that much bigger.
If mehh were toxic which he’s not i’d still respect him same way I respect all the AT pros.
Everyone makes mistakes. Even Drainer.
Sitting on greater fade for 90+ seconds while being trained is one example but like I said, we all make them and most people make far more mistakes than Drainer.
He’s also the most toxic streamer I watch regularly. Complains about PvE gear but is 475 equipped with decent stats. Complains about scum comps like Destro X but plays with a DH with gushing as #1 damage etc.

I actually thought that was sad to see one guy hold up a tournament due to either being really , uh, unable to grasp basic logic/concepts or simply to avoid or cause issues for whatever reason.
I mean it seemed to put a damper on a great effort by all those involved.
