I am in the process of getting dragonwrath, tarecgosa’s rest, and I was wondering if it is still useful In tww content. The proc effectively doubles your dps, and it can turn you into a dragon.
Double DPS on proc sounds good, but I’m thinking that there are better options.
If not, it is still a cool item.
Yeah. It gives me maximum swag as I’m a dragon who transform into a bigger quadrapedal dragon.

It’s completely useless as an item. You can even do a questline in Dragonflight so you can use the mount feature it has without using the staff.

yes it allows you to challenge alexstrasza for biggest dragon and dominance of the dragonflight.
Yup! I’m pretty sure that you need to obtain the legendary weapon to unlock this questline though! You also get a Feat of Strength for getting the weapon as well!

So I just used it at level 80 on a training dummy and according to details it was 0.20% of my damage. Which does not offset the severe lack of stats it has.

No matter how cool the proc may be, staff is only ilevel 183, making it completely worthless in current content.
It used to at least be good in TW, but with the recent scaling changes it doesn’t even have that going for it any more. At this point it the old legendaries are purely cosmetic.
The staff was from cata, 7 expacs ago. It’s beyond not useful to say the least, in terms of damage.
But its a legacy legendary WITH a flightform. Just do the azure questline in DF and you’ll unlock it as a mount without the staff equipped.

As far as I recall the staff wasn’t even relevant during dragon soul except for Elemental Shamans, no shot it’s going to be useful beyond transmog ever again.
Im just getting it for the mount now, and the ability to turn into a dragon.
Even in Cata, it doesn’t come close to doubling your DPS.
