I’m thinking of coming back to df and was wondering if it’d be worth my time coming back. How are queues looking and is it easy to find people in lfg?
Yes and LFG always has people
My experience is wait 20 minutes for RSS, or queue random 2s and get someone mad at you when you’ve won 5 games and lost 2. Otherwise it seems good, mostly a people issue for me. RSS is great when it actually pops
Yes i love wow arena and its the last bastion of competitive mmo pvp, but waiting in ques and getting declined in lfg is the worst part of it. When i start my own group on woyer for 2’s i jsut sit there for a hour waiting for a healer i might as well been in shuffle q. Its just makes me go back to swtor and que games there.
Personally I will sit this one out. Especially until they fix solo shuffle, if they fix it.
Super duper fun. Game is balanced, lots of depth. But consistent teammates and addons to help you keep track of what’s going on are a must. If you can work those out, enjoyyy
It’s dead right now.
this. specially if your new/returning. its a massive learning curve and the meta has been pretty awful since SL with insane levels of damage punishing anyone trying to play or just learn and have some fun.
also
hardly anyone gets involved or just leaves after an L
understated, game is basically unplayable at an decent level w/o addons.
Nah, SoD Ashenvale PvP is much more enjoyable than retail arena honestly. Retail arena just hasn’t felt right since BFD to me.
The usual PvP experience for new players as well. Could explain the shrinking playerbase. I think Blizz is holding out for BG blitz as the savior of PvP
Gunna play devil’s advocate here & say besides QoL issues like mmr/lfg/shuffle q times DF has been a great xpac for PvP. Is it perfect? Nah but even if it was to someone others might not feel that way.
The last time I enjoyed the game this much was Legion & I think it’ll be one of those xpacs that people look back on fondly when it’s done.
Truth is, people complain about every xpac. They complained about WoTLK, MoP, Legion etc & nowadays those 3 are regarded as the higher tier pvp xpacs.
Now that blizz has (hopefully) stopped messing around with hpal mana regen, I’ll have to agree with you looking back at the expansion.
No real need to pve if you don’t want
Gear is arguably the best its ever been
Damage is a little whack but SL was way worse from what i remember
I wish crafted gear wasnt a thing, but it is pretty neat being able to min/max if you want to
Came back a couple months ago and its fun few outliers but overall its good.
A lot of stuff you have to learn. My smooth brain was overwhelmed figuring out how to pvp craft the gear and the tier set converter thing
Even though older Arena body is still nice I would do Arena in a hearbeat
I still don’t know how to gear. The whole system is overly confusing.
this is whats up. i agree
its made that way. its simple yet just derps
At the start it definitely was watched like a little guide video for it
Low rating its fun, above 1800 its HELL!!! Nothing but pro gamers and 3rd party website employees filling customer orders lol.
