Without Sargeras or Kil’jaeden, it seems there’s only high ranking demons in control of the Legion, many of which are Dreadlords.
Assuming the dreadlords drag him out of the Shadowlands and then regroup the scattered fragments of th Legion, maybe.
I personally would like to see a new Burning Legion form in any case. The cosmic war sounds dreadfully boring when compared to a grand army of demons.
We missed defeating several demonic leaders that appeared on the Broken Shore. I assume they’ll remain functional.
edit: …but I’ll suspect Jaraxxus would become leader considering his exposure.
He has the ear of a significant number of beings who used to be in the Burning Legion. What he does with that remains to be seen.
I think the Legion is over.
Sarg is locked away. Archimonde and KJ are properly dealt with. And their overall mission has somewhat proven to be rather irrelevant and unfeasible.
I’d imagine they’d just slowly kill and devour one another while they fade out of existence.
Maybe Velen will reroll Warlock in 10.1.5 though and become the new leader.
He’s gonna reroll shadow priest and corrupt some naru or something stupid. Blizz has made too many horde leaders turn into psychopathic villains to not do the same thing to an alliance leader at this point
There should be some lords of Fel somewhere in the Nether that might object to Denathrius’ attempt at leadership.
Sargeras was too powerful to oppose, but the “Eternal ones” seem weak by comparison, so the demon version of them should be able to drive Denathrius out.
With their leadership neutralized, not to mention no longer having Argus to recycle them back to life, the demons will probably turn to in-fighting in the Twisting Nether. So yeah, for now, at least, the Legion is just not a thing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t really a set of Eternal Ones for Chaos.
it literally took a being of pure Order acting as the leader to get them to stop fighting amongst themselves, if there is a set of Eternal Ones, they’re either ineffectual, unconcerned with leading, or got overthrown and never replaced.
Leadership and the cosmic force of Chaos don’t really seem like a thing that fits together
Bro i summon him as demonology. He aint the leader. (I think he can pop out the portal).
Demons are naturally chaotic, so its assumed that without the senior leadership and fear provided by Sargeras, Archimonde, and Kil’jaeden the surviving Legion commanders are battling one another to become the new commander of the Burning Legion. Some may have even left to craft thrir own forces and do their own thing.
The Dreadlords have also seemed to have discarded whatever remains as they returned to Denathrius’ side in Shadowlands.
I personally think that the Burning Legion as an organization is done. But demons themselves are not, for example I can see the Fel Pantheon being used for a demonic force and they could have recruited familiar names off screen.
We could also see some new demonic forces like by familiar faces. For example, Jaraxxus could return leading a force known as the Jaraxxi.
Are we due for another green expansion? Because it looks like we’re headed towards a purple expansion.
I suppose its not impossible. I mean, could you imagine Denathrius arriving in the Seat of the Pantheon, p*mpslapping Illidan, and then freeing Sargeras? Or worse, just consuming Sargeras’ power while the Pantheon watches in horror, knowing if they release Sargeras they’re dead, but if they don’t, something worse is about to emerge?
Never attended an National Association of Anarchists meeting before?
Aren’t they essentially the same thing? The death pantheon is the same thing as the order pantheon. (The titans)
They tried to hype Zovaal as being a “Titan++” threat, but nothing shown in all of SL points to them being anything more than like Keeper tier in strength.
Everything they did, even down to creating infinite sized pocket realms of their own making, is stuff the Keepers(Tyr, Odyn, etc.) could do. Hell, Helya created the elemental planes, and she was like a Devos to Odyn, basically.
For your consideration on who is more powerful, just look to what happened when Sargeras and the pantheon fought. The collateral damage of their conflict was countless stars being destroyed(multiple lightyears of space). That’s some DBZ-tier display of power. Denathrius couldn’t even beat a few of his underlings and some Adventurers. Sure, you could say we beat Argus, but Argus was basically an unborn fetus.
History has shown that you can just toss a warlock’s skull at a mage for them to consume and you have a new uber cringe lord suitable for burning legion lordship.
Velen of all people would be one of the last. Turalion has the highest likelihood. Alleria doesn’t want to but could. Jaina seems to be over hers as is tyrande. Magni is likely. Genn is unlikely.
You do realize we were canonically Uber buffed by one of their fellow titan ++ guys right?
