Its just not a priority game for them. If you are an executive would you show your worth to the company by resurrecting an old game or building a new one.
Sounds like someone is salty that they didnt hit cap like the mass majority of players, and chose a pvp server.
Vanilla had no bgs and an honor system - they pretty much replicated that. They didnt add BGs to the game for quite some time. Everyone has been warning people to hit level cap before p2 - you chose to ignore all the warnings i guess. This isnt a shock to anyone who was paying attention. This was inevitable.
If you are going to quit over your feelings being hurt, i say good riddance.
They arenāt ruining Classicā¦ It was always going to happen regardless.
They said āYou think you do, but you donātā, and that isnāt that far off of being correct.
Classic is a side-server type for World of Warcraft. It was never going to be mainstream anyway. So, what happens to it really doesnāt matter in the long run.
Sure, itās good to help bring in some more money to the brand and keep retail moving forward, but beyond that it isnāt worth much.
I am literally L49 and a warrior, slowly leveling up on a mostly balanced, but leaning alliance-heavy server. Do not presume to preach to me about what struggle is.
It just doesnāt make sense. If people wanted to PvP in Battlegrounds, they could do it on any server. The only reason to roll on a PvP server is to engage in World PvP. So why are so many people complaining about the fact that they are being attacked in World PvP, when if they didnāt want that they could have rolled on Normal servers?
Edit: Iāll add to this that if players want to engage in wPvP part of the time, they can flag themselves to do that on a Normal server. Thereās just no sense at all in the ācrisisā that people are experiencing.
I feared it would happen as my server shiffed more and more out of balence and by the time PvP rolled out it was too late i was vested where i wasā¦ You will pardon my being upset wont youā¦ill try to grin and bear it but sweet Elune Allience on Bigglesworth has no hopeā¦and im certain its only going to get worse as people leave for hopefully better pastures
Youāre intentionally misrepresenting the argument. People who enjoy world pvp, enjoy it when itās on a balanced server. Thereās no way to know which pvp servers were going to go to crap population wise so feeling trapped is not the same as ānot wanting to be pvpādā
Unless gasp, they wanted it later when they are 60 too, like, maybe they thought gasp that this phase 2 would be later, like gasp, the true vanilla experience was???
Truth is, pretty much everyone had a 60 in vanilla when honor system came in. That is not the case right now. You can say to these players āwhat did you expect on a pvp serverā but clearly this situation was not as bad to casuals as it is right now and maybe a PvP server was their entire experience before and this is not what it was.
I expect this to slow down in the next few days when people realize how few rank they gain doing this idiotic camping strategy compared to massive battles like TM-SS
Iām not intentionally misrepresenting anything. Jeez, I didnāt know there were āsidesā here but I guess forum-PvP warriors always pick a side. If you want to argue about balanced servers that is a different topic. And people enjoy World PvP on servers just the way they are right now. Not all people, but some people are having a heck of a lot of fun. Even some people being ganked are having fun.
That being said, pretty sure Bliz would rather people play on the store game. They are of course happy to have subs from classic players and give retail players something to keep them subbed during content lulls, but thatās not the end goal.
But now that the PServer community is gutted why not add a little more pressure to try out retail, And hitting the type of player that rolled on a PvP server that doesnāt really want PvP, almost genius.
Of course there were some of that. Just like there are people that started after August or September in Classic. However, please donāt pretend that in May 2005, when it was added 6-7 months after launch, Iām wrong to say that the majority of players had their Lvl 60s, contrary to today.
They have stated nothing of āat least 3x moreā and the only time they even talked about server capacity was when they artificially inflated it before launch, which layers allowed them to do.
There is not 9k+ caps on servers right now, unless blizzard is pants on head retarded. Vanilla systems are not made to support that
Not saying it is. Just saying they rather get people playing the store game. Itās unlikely a large number of classic only players will start buying pets, mounts, toys and services for the retail game.
