Is classic being ruined on purpose?

I don’t think they care what version of the game you’re playing as long as they get their money.

Only reason I’m still subbed is to post on the forums, I was never on the forums when I enjoyed the game but these days reading the forums and posting is more enjoyable than playing atm.

It doesn’t mean you have to totally abandon your PVP character.

It allows you to create a new character on a PVE server and start playing again without the hassles. If PVP settles down to the state when you can tolerate the PVP then play again with your current character. If Blizzard allows character transfers then you can decide on what you want then. Or when Battlegrounds comes out, you can decide on which server to play on.

It gives you options instead of being stuck on what Blizzard decides to do.

I played DAoC and a couple others myself and certainly do remember the disdain most of us felt for WOW and WOW players at the time. But even you must admit that Classic is still better than any of the so called “modern” MMOs available today.

Must be nice to have so much free time that rerolling on a completely different server sounds like the move

I’m not lagging, get a better PC/internet its 2019 almost 2020 after all. Time to move on from that 4gig ram/AOL 10.0.

It’s not a great option, but it’s something that can be done. Something other than whining and crying on a message forum, threatening to quit if Blizzard doesn’t change the game, that is.

No. They’re just arrogant and greedy. And not necessarily for the reasons you’re complaining of.

Ridiculous. If classic is crap or whatever it’s because of the classic players. No one’s being forced to play anything. lol

It’s funny. I quit retail because of the same reason. My server has hacker problems. I was top killer in my battlegrounds. But every now and again i would run into hackers. You couldn’t kill them an they would ruin a battleground. After so many battlegrounds i had, had enough. An moved to a different server. An started all over again. An then the problem came back there.

I think the biggest issue you have is no one is addressing the code the game is programmed in. Or someone really wants to ruin World of Warcraft so you cant play it. Maybe is time someone just rebuilt the game from scratch an made it in unhackable.

As a healer, I’m done logging in outside of raids. You don’t have any chance to defend yourself and I can never get away from people. They’ll chase you across the entire zone for one HK because they’re like 12 and never PVPed back in the day.

That’s the only people who find this type of PVP fun, the type where you chase down helpless victims.
They don’t want actual competition. These earliest phases have to be some of the most painful because of no gear to defend yourself.

You realize battlegrounds are cross servers. If you had hacker problems in BG’s on one server, moving servers wouldn’t change that.

short answer: yes
long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeees

That’s a bald faced lie, and you know it.

Yes, I can, and I have.

Casuals, on a PvP server? Are you kidding?

Casuals that want to PvP should be doing BGs or in Retail using Warmode.

They clearly weren’t prepared for a true full-time PvP experience.

Imagine if Ford or GM ran their companies the way blizzard is currently run.

Consumer: We really want SUV and crossovers.

Ford/GM: No you don’t, you want this large sedan. It’s easier to drive.

Consumer: hmm, no, we really want the SUVs they have all the utility we want.

Ford/GM: Ok here’s your crappy SUV.

Consumer: It’s missing a lot of features we want, can we get some changes?

Ford/GM: No, that’s the way it comes. #Nochanges.

Consumer: But i’m paying $500 a month to lease this…

Ford/GM: If you buy the big sedan, it won’t have glitches, and you’ll get features.

That is literally how Blizzard is operating right now. It’s a business model that fails catastrophically in all but the Too-BIg-To-Fail secnario. When the consumer confronts you with obvious problems and asks for solutions, the company is supposed to work to fix it. Blizzard just ignores them. It’s almost as if they want to lose money.

Where is it written that Classic can’t be improved upon? What kind of a company doesn’t want to improve its product?

Yes a good business strategy for every company is to invest money in a product and sabotage it at the same time to alienate everyone of their consumer base just to hopefully get them fooled enough to trust them more even though they betrayed said trust so said consumers buy a product they think was made to fail on purpose to attract more people for another product by the same company that would make them money regardless of the original betrayal just to prove a point based on a statement of some some guy on blizzcon 2 or 3 years ago.

That is business 101. you got it brother.

WoW Classic had so much promise. Now that they’re adding all the miserable crap that turned retail into a giant pile of garbage in the first place I guess I’ll start looking for 3rd party vanilla servers to play on.
Thanks Blizzard!

Dude WoW Classic is awesome! I am having a blast. Perhaps you should try being less dramatic.

Short answer: Yes.

Imagine if Ford or GM ran their companies the way blizzard is currently run.

That is pound for pound one of the worst analogy I’ve read on these forums. Hilarious because they are actually listening to the majority and implemented Honor system without BG per the request of the community and due to huge amount of complaints they initially received.

Now they are releasing BG faster due to the complaints - Yet people complain that they ignore us? Hello?

Short answer: No.

Fixed for you

Devs have been incrementally changing classic to fit into the modern view not of what it was, but what it should have been.

Faction balance was ignored in retail right up to the point where pvp servers became mostly non-viable. They obviously couldn’t copy and paste warmode into classic, so you got nothing.
