If the multiboxers are going to corner the market on ZIn’anthid and force us to buy their herbs at 60G per and Blizzard won’t do anything about it, can we now openly buy gold without fear of being banned in order to get the herbs that we need for raiding?

Easy to get away with automated cheating with multi-boxing. Distributed keystrokes is one thing, but I see multi boxers automating, which is cheating.

Since it seems people are inaccurately throwing around the word “bot” in here a lot lately, perhaps we need a reminder of what a bot is.
A bot is software that presses the keys for you. You can set it running and go away and it will still do its thing.
Software that passes your one click to multiple instances still requires you to be there and click. It is not a bot.
To be clear, I don’t think much of multiboxers either. It is fundamentally taking a game way too seriously to spend a bunch of extra money to get a small competitive advantage - in a game that would already be much better if there was less forced competition.
But they aren’t botting, and they aren’t breaking the ToS.
It’s not against the ToS to buy tokens, which were added in Patch 6.1.2.
You want us to stop so you can go back to paying 200g each like when the patch launched?

I’ve seen a multi-boxer sit in one area doing the exact same sequence with the exact same cadence for hours, clearly automated.

They aren’t mutually exclusive. A multiboxer may also be botting just like single character player may also be botting. Report the botting, don’t incorrectly ascribe it to all multiboxers.
