nope you always are able to auto attack them. always. go up to the mage doing this, and bonk him on the head with an auto attack.
Before the latest hotfix you could put an ice wall ontop of yourself, with the mage literally incased inside the ice wall, unable to be attacked from either side. Maybe you haven’t seen it done correctly, but trust me, it was entirely possible. However, Blizzard actually fixed this and the wall now correctly boots you out no matter how well you place it so this thread is irrelevant.

my favorite thing is when a mage drops an ice walla nd 7 of my teammates just sit there and stare at it
