Its easy to see that most comps have.
A. Pally tank.
B. Disc/Shammy/MW’er heals.
C. Aug + Enhance.
Then finally D. A brez DPS (which is DK or Boomy)
With this comp the brez can’t be an engineering brez because it needs to be instant to brez the tank when they die. Seems to happen around 2-4 times during most 14/15 keys.
So that seems to be the main reason why many non-brez classes don’t get a chance at that last spot.
If this healing comp or the tank dying meta continues into next season I think the only solution is to give all healing classes brez baseline without engineering.
Then comps might invite other DPS specs in LFG.
You don’t need meta comps for 14 or 15s.

I sneak into groups as a feral druid sometimes. Also paladins can brez.
You don’t, but classes like mine can’t get a @#%ing invite unless I drastically out rank everyone in the group. It’s @#%$ing pathetic, and I’m getting really close to just pulling pin and quiting this stupid imbalanced BS.
Sick of seeing groups with 2-3 Shaman or Paladins. It’s just plain dumb to double up on any class. But here we are, because Blizzard class balance Devs have their head so far up their backsides it’s not funny.
So a lot of what makes the meta, meta, is the ability to deal with pretty well anything and everything in a dungeon. Be it various dispels, immunity, or anything to overall make the healer’s job easier. Prot Paladins do a lot of off healing when they can. Aug, well, plain and simple. This class is cancer to the game balance. Shaman, (enhance or Elley) both have dispels and a whole tool box to go with it.
Disc Priest, being the healer, also makes the Tank’s life easier having access to pain sup. Just in case the tank needs those “Oh S@#yt!” moments. The fact they bring PI is icing on the cake.
The last spot though, you’re right, usually an extra B-rez is good or whatever can bring the most dps/utility to the group. If a soothe is needed, a rogue or druid. It all comes down to the dungeon, as to what the best class would be to fill that last spot.

This really isn’t because of Bres, it’s because those specs are very good. You don’t see any Warlocks up there despite also having a a bres.

There’s at least 1 warlock up there. Pretty sure he has a 20.
Well lucky for you and all of us, next season looks like everybody dies before the tank.
Hyperbolic much? You should look at the new key scaling.
Just saying what I’ve seen and experienced. The dmg profile in dungeons of S2 is not like S1, it’s not tank getting nuked anymore, the group in general takes more dmg, DPS tend to die before the tank more often in S2 than in S1.
Nothing I said even comes close to hyperbolic, and nothing I said has anything to do with the new key scaling, there is no part of key scaling that makes mob do different lvls of dmg to different payer roles in the group.
Lock has other issues, lack of solid CC but that’s a fair argument. Mage has twice as much CC but still gets rejected. Although mage needs to run frostfire which sims lower for aoe just because of survive.
Yes, you right. There are issues with other specs that aren’t boomy or DK. But if all healers had brez that might help more non-meta classes time higher keys.
