Is Blizzard really gatetiming the anniversary event?

Jesus, you didn’t read a single word of my post lol.

Explain why you deserve everything immediately without needing to put in the time and effort to get it.

You don’t.

Your post sounds like an entitled child upset because mommy won’t let you have cake and pie for breakfast.

Uninstall, go touch some grass, and get a hold of yourself.

Especially for the people who don’t have the time to burn through it like that. Might take them 2 weeks instead of 10, which is much more comfortable. :upside_down_face:

Gatetiming?? Wth is that??? That makes me think I need to be at an airport checking my gates.

Guess what? There is zero, I repeat zero reason to go do any of the 20th Annvi stuff unless you really want to.

It’s lasting til January… So, unless you’re one of those who has to have everything right out the gate, you can either build up your own fomo or play the event as much as you can or go find something else to do in game.

Good thing. The event is on for a fair while. Getting all the sets is possible.

You don’t need to grind it all within a day or 2. You’ll be ok

You do realize (and we know you do) that your sub allows you to play many different versions of WoW including but not limited to: Classic, SoD, HC, Retail, etc.

You also realize (and we know you do) that your paying monthly sub includes all of the above and does not require you to purchase the current xpac and further, said sub allows you to read/participate in any of the WoW forums including the above-mentioned WoW versions.

At least in this case, my suggestion is you should probably take the advice of your character’s name (aka: speak less)

No point in freaking out over collecting a bunch of sets you’ll probably never use.

I walked by the gate two days ago and there are already peeps camped out in front of it.

How bad are you at the game that 3 months isn’t enough time?

Lol this is the player that wants to put in minimum effort for the best/interesting items. The grind is not that bad…

Should they?

Absolutely, many players have other games to enjoy, so if they burn out on one event, they can easily switch to something else. Allowing fast progression can enhance the experience for those who want to dive deep without feeling restricted.

Or you know they could just plan for inevitable burnout and add other activities. Either way yes you allow people to go ham because those same people will complain if you gate keep it.

All gate keeping does is potentially hurt the casuals anyways. Say I have extra time to play one week or two but the game caps me. My incentive to play is gone.

Ultimately the speed should be fast enough to earn all the rewards in a reasonable time frame like 2-3 weeks just like other games with a say battle pass. I don’t have to for example play overwatch every week during the season I can grind it out and be done and move on.

Is this going to end up being like MOP remix where everyone cried and pretended it would take months and be nearly impossible to get everything prior to the release.

Than like 2 weeks in multiple people were literally maxed out with everything purchased.

You degens will literally cry about everything won’t you.

This, yes. It should always be this way with all things. Let the nerds and nothing-but-time folks splurge. This entire “restrict everything per an x-time basis so that the busy folks won’t feel left behind” mentality should’ve been put out to pasture long ago. But, then again that would hurt their daily active players stats or some rubbish so…

It really does not seem like they are gate timing anything what it seems like to me is you are one of those people that no matter what blizzard does you’re going to whine about it you’re going to complain because it’s most likely not going to go how you want it there was literally nothing wrong with the prepatch event all my people were able to get what they needed to to move on I don’t know where your idea of them gate timing this comes from but it doesn’t seem like that’s what they’re trying to do at all and yes I’m one of those that will defend blizzard but at the same time I am one of those who will call them out on stupid decisions this is not one of those stupid decisions

Letting us burn through everything in 4 days and being able to go do other stuff is 100 times better than drip feed daily annoyance.

Better for players, not better for Blizzard. Does anyone here believe they are looking out for us, over their metrics and bottom line?

Their metrics are leading to actively bad game design decisions and causing significantly increased burnout. They are using mobile game metrics to sell to their investors where they used to just use subscribers.

This is the “big content” patch that gonna hold the game while the actual expansion content patch releases in around march at least.
