Is Blizzard really gatetiming the anniversary event?

They’re going out of there way to create a long term event only to have it possible to do in a day.

It’s really not that big of a deal. Grind for the ones you really want and leave the ones you don’t, they will probably come back in the trading post anyway. Or don’t, your life will not meaningfully change if you don’t get the sets.

Roughly two. Oct 22 (which will really be the 29th, due to all of the bugs it’ll have) until January 6th.

But it takes three weeks to get the first set of tier.

That’s not good design.

In what way

We’ve always had rotating goodies

Stop financially supporting these bad decisions and unsub.

Have you read the details? Three weeks to earn the currency for one set. Then another set gets brought down to be cheaper once one is purchased. Then the rest become cheaper once another is purchased.

And that’s not including all of the other things, the meta, etc. to make it even more convoluted.

Calculated out, people cannot miss a day if they want to buy even some of the things.

Sure, it’s not RNG, so that’s nice. But there’s no reason to have convoluted systems for this, nor have people treat it as a job.

People like having the ability to decide for themselves how they play rather than having Blizzard treat them like children.

Why would you want everything available? Just pick out what you like.

10 weeks time X amount of currency = Enough currency to buy everything.

Not sure I am seeing any issue other than you want it all on day one, and math is not your strong suit.

There is no shot I’m ever gonna do enough PVP in this game to ever get those, so I just pretend they don’t exist.

Blizzard buffed acquisition in Plunderstorm, MoP Remix and the pre-patch event shortly into the events cycle due to player feedback, all of this just in the past 6 months or so.

You would think they would have learned by now to stop repeating history because you know darn well that they’ll be posting a, “We hear you” post a week or two into the anniversary event.

For an expansion that boasts quality of life improvements for alts with the Warbound system, they seem to find ways to negate all of that with these poor design decisions.

“Because it’s casual friendly” /s

No but seriously, blizzard is insane. Timgatting has been one of the worst aspects of WoW for years and it’s only gotten worse.

Who in the blizzard department is saying players like this crap?

You didn’t answer.

You just tried to make it seem not so bad…but it doesn’t need to exist in the first place.

People are going to complain either way. Might as well let everyone play as fast/slow as they want.

Yes…

Let people play the game they paid for, in the content they enjoy the most, at whatever pace suits them best.

I don’t care if other people get ahead of me.

Also the game is already seasonal! Everything get’s reset anyways. And there are so many catch up mechanics introduced late in the season.

Timegatting literally serves no purpose.

Some people really should just quit WoW for their own mental health.

The issue is that it’s timegatted…he literally explained the issue.

Who is timegatting protecting? You? Are you the reason timegatting exists?

We both know this isn’t why they timegate things. Blizzard doesn’t care if you no life something. They just want to keep metrics up
