I thought it was against TOS and have reported several botters for months and yet they still play the game without any consequences to them. If the answer is they don’t care about them then shouldn’t everyone bot?
Yes. They are ok with those bots, and let those level 1 ghost control black lotus and GDKP. So they can sell their gold. Why not Blizzard just provide bot service? so everyone can bot.
Blizzard favors large banwaves instead of instant punishment for some reason.
GDKP is also a main point for bots. Who will buy gold without GDKP? You don’t need those 30k gold for playing on Classic.
Officially no, but going by enforcement of the rules, it seems defacto legit to run bots in classic.
That is correct the do love ban waves and those waves normally occur at the end of the firscal quarter or the beginning of the next to show share holders their revenue stream
NO, Blizzard is not “okay” with botting.
Does Blizzard have “magic powers” to eliminate bots? NO, Blizzard can’t do that.
So, like it is with EVERY person or company ON EARTH, “does not stop it” never means “is OK with it”. Pretending those have the same meaning is dishonest.
I think I’m going to open up a 2nd account and run one myself. They clearly aren’t banning em and if I can get a lvl 60 after 1 month sub and a transfer, I’d consider it a win
Try it out.
Report back.
If you can.
They must be ok with botting
Of course, they are fine with botting.
Everyone just do it, and sell gold, make more profits than Blizzard.
Word on the street is they’re going to initiate a bot layer. Confirmed bots now only interact with other bots on the bot layer! Human players rejoice, I solved the issue.
Blizzard are not okay with botting.
But Blizzard is also not okay with spending money to fix a problem.
Fixing bots = paying real humans to monitor, investigate and ban bots.
Blizzard loves money more than it loves fixing problems = problem not going away.
Pretty sure they are…
Bots = Subs = Money = Win
Did you read the rest of my post or just the first line… jfc you’re stupid, I literally said that in my second sentence.
Blizzard is not all-powerful. Blizzard does not have godlike powers.
Therefore “Blizzard lets X happen” in NO WAY implies “Blizzard is OK with X”.
You are over-estimating what computers can do, and what Blizzard can do.
Blizzard said in a blue post that “botting makes them more money” is ridiculously false. They lose far more money than they make from botters. And the damage botters cause to normal players hurts Blizzard.
If bots were using stolen credit cards and banks were forcing Blizzard to give the money back we wouldn’t be seeing bot guilds, bots operating for months and months on end, bot rank 14s, etc. You’re being deceived by a notoriously awful company that has offered 0 proof whatsoever. It’s called a half truth. I’m sure that it does occasionally happen, but do you really think there are thousands upon thousands of stolen credit cards being used to play World of Warcraft Classic? How do you reconcile the claim that over 100000 bots were banned with the idea that they’re all using stolen credit cards when not numbers are INCREASING all the time? That’s completely ridiculous. The truth is that the vast majority of botters pay the $15usd and easily break even because Blizzard isn’t banning them.
How do YOU reconcile the fact that you just admitted they banned over 100,000 bots while also making statements like this:
Your false narrative is falling apart. People need to report the bots if they want the bots to be banned, stop propagating a lie that Blizzard doesn’t ban bots. It’s almost like the level 10 characters on this forum spreading this lie have a vested interest in the bots not being banned.
Yeah I flooded the forum with anti-bot threads and posts to make sure that bots wouldn’t be banned. Good call.
