All day I’ve been having issues. When I finally got the login screen to my character, it took quite a long time to be able to select a toon, then it took probably about 5-8 seconds before the loading bar actually finished and allowed me into the game.
Then I find I am the only thing running around in the game. My latency was off the charts…Home=60000 and World=41500
So I have to ask you…are you having a DDOS attack today?
I could not even log off correctly, I had to click on the X of the screen to close the game down because the regular method would not activate.
Hey Friedbones! There weren’t any known issues at the time of your post. If you’re still experiencing these issues, try the following:
- Power Cycling Your Network Devices
- Try a DNS Flush to clear out any corrupted or stagnate data.
-
Test an alternate network such as a mobile hotspot to determine whether the problem is isolated to your current network.
If the problems continue, please run a WinMTR network test so that we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:
- Download the tool from this page
- In the “Host” field, enter “24.105.62.129” (without quotes).
- Start the test and login to the game as normal. Ensure the problem occurs while the winMTR tool is running.
- After recording data for about 5 minutes, click “export text” and save the winMTR file in an easy to find location.
- Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the winMTR. It’ll look like this:

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).
Thank you very much for your reply. However, we found out shortly after I posted that message that Comcast indicated we had a problem in our area.
There were storms that came through a day or two earlier and we lost power for several hours. Apparently this disrupted/damaged some equipment.
They sent a tech out on the 12th and he found that their newly installed splitter for our connection had failed. Odd since it was only installed about a month or so ago. Tech replaced that hardware and we were finally up and running.
He let slip (sure he wasn’t supposed to tell the customers) that the power outage had affected a large portion of their customer base in our area. You would think they would automatically create a maintenance check for said area to make sure all equipment was actually working.
But thanks again for the pointers. I actually have a text document, with all that info listed saved, listed on my pc for me to use should I need it.
