Nope Warlords of Draenor was by far the worst. being forced to do the Garrison to unlock content should not be a thing it felt like the whole expansion was about the Garrisons. Outside of doing raids dungeons and pvp all there was to do was stuff for your Garrison the xpac should have been called Garrisons of Draenor

You are correct and anyone that argues this is just schilling for the game the same people who defend pathfinding but are the first to cry when they got to redo it all in another expansion. People forget that WoD had Mass Rez and numerous guild perks I actually outside of the content drought actually enjoyed WoD.

Yes it is by a long shot. If Classic has had not come out when it did, this franchise would likely be dead.
I liked a lot about bfa.
I liked the war (im always game for alliance vs horde stuff)
I liked uldir, BoD, and nyalotha. BoD might actually be my favorite raid of all time.
I liked the m+ scene, pushin 15s
I liked the story the first time through. Both on alliance and horde.
I liked horrific visions a lot.
I liked my vengance DH playstyle
All that being said… i absolutely hate so much other stuff going on. bfa wont go down as the worst due to the story or content, but it will be drastically marked down due to the power progression mechanics.

The entire WoD storyline was non-existent, far worse than BFA, plus what little story existed was locked in the raids. I challenge people to go play WoD now on an alt and actually have any idea wtf is going on past the first set-piece jungle run.

Only thing i really know is that there is an alternate dimension iron horde who wants to kill our dimension because Garrosh told them to?
Funny thing is those of us who like WoD actually give reasons why we liked it from the questing , to the raids and how we liked how our toons play better and the WoD hater response is always the same rose tinted glasses and that BfA has more to to .
Well a lot of people actually think that the content of BfA lacked quality and that more doesn’t always mean better .Most of the time more means just that more.
Also the content of WoD as little as there was , was the story , the questing and the raiding . As for BfA after the story the content became the systems because everything revolved around Azerite gear then to Corrupted gear and the Heart of Azeroth and Essences.
A little good content is better then playing the system game.
WoD’s real issue was lack of content and being too Garrison-motivated by the end, but with nothing to do of course people were gonna rack up gold while they could. Other then that, I enjoyed most of the content leading up the dry period.
BfA is just bad, not in a good or fun way. It’s dull, the writing is godawful, the lack of tier sets and more homogenized armor options takes away all class fantasy. The classes sucked, use to main feral but went DH and even I think the devs need to back off this class and add more diversity to an obvious easy game play style. Island Expeditions were a drag. War Fronts were just a bad idea and boring. Visions are meh after awhile and nothing really makes me want to play other then something to do while I’m out of work for this virus thing.
Being boring is infinitely worse then just being straight up bad, and that’s BfA for you.

Only thing I miss from borelords is the is the trading post lol. Made a ton of gold selling hexweave bags haha. They still sell pretty well though. Make the trading post great again blizz 
I think its too soon for an objective assessment, right now my gut wants to say god yes the story and treament of characters in BFA has irreparably damaged the warcraft franchise for me… the escapism fantasy and immersion is gone… the horde circa wc3 to metzan departure as we knew it is gone… the new creative vision for them does not resonate with me and there is no escaping that fact.
