Is BfA the worst expac?

No, WoD is and forever will be.

BFA has content unlike WoD, it’s just not fun. WoD was 2 years of standing around in a Garrison unless you were a high end raider. The raids are the only redeeming factor of WoD.

WoD is still the worse because of what garrisons did to the economy of the game and we’re still dealing with the hyper inflation of gold from that. But let’s not act like BfA isn’t almost as bad as WoD because it is only slightly better.

Depends if you got those good Essences or not.

Pretty sure everyone has BFA and WoD as bottom two.

yall think BFA is the worst wait until Shadowlands.

I do, anyways. I don’t hate BfA as much as some people but I would say I dislike about 40(ish)% of this xpac.

Then the expac after that one, and the one after that, etc. etc. etc.

well the wheel does go round and round

Not even close to the worst expansion.

Do you actually think that, or are you just mad that SPriest is getting shafted hard?
:hugs:

well I said wait until shadowlands not that shadowlands is the worst and to be honest most of my disappointment is because “Spriest is getting shafted hard” as you put it very eloquently.

you experiences the content of an expansion through the lens of your class/faction.

it’s a satirical post, if you think about it.

Better pvp for sure, the Ilvl buff in pvp was great and solved quite a few issues… I’d still prefer resil but WoD was definitely the last great pvp xpac.

agreed 100%, was nice to have alts that only pvp’d and still remained relevant. I can’t even get my pvp fix on weekends anymore because even my main is so far behind so I just resort to playing LoL… Not to mention, I don’t even like pvping on my main, I’ve always tried to keep my main the character who does all the quests, unlocks pathfinder, gets all the reps etc etc… Where as i’ d keep 3-4 alts pretty up to par on their pvp gear. Just can’t do that this xpac without spending hours upon hours, having to invest so much time in pve for essences, gear, etc etc, its a drag and completely removes the immersion I felt from solely gearing up through pvp channels.

To me it was not the worst expansion.

I played BfA way more than WoD (played WoW almost continuously since '05), so I don’t think I can give BfA the title. I don’t think the story is better. Honestly, I’m a troll lore fanatic, and the Zandalari were probably the biggest selling point. Zuldazar, while not functionally a great city, was/is gorgeous. I think Talanji is an awesome addition to the Horde leadership.

I think certain zone have their strong points. Drustvar was a win in my opinion. I liked the blood troll/Zul arc in Zandalar.

I’m not a fan of the HP Lovecraft stuff involved with the old gods though. I don’t find Sylvanas to be palatable.

I think BfA and WoD were both cases of amazing promotion and a severe lack of substance on the developers’ part. I was incredibly excited for both. The animated shorts for both were top tier, the characters and zones they promoted were awesome, but it just fell flat. There was a distinct lack of soul to them both.

I was far less excited for Legion. I’m not a huge BC fan, and Illidan is another character that just irritates me. Legion just delivered the right stuff in my mind. Class fantasy like crazy, decent story and cast, the mage tower…it was just solid as hell.

Seems like the success of the expansions alternate. WotLK was great, cata was meh. I didn’t play mop, though I have heard mostly good things, but wod was pretty bad overall. Legion had kind of a rough start I think with the AP grind, but finished really strong. Bfa though has never really recovered
I’m not sure if it’s the expectations of the player base coming off of the good expansions, or blizzard try’s harder after a failed expansion. Maybe it’s a combo of both. Hopefully it means SL will be fun.

For me it’s still WoD because of low effort. But it’s tough because what’s bad about BfA wasn’t bad about WoD and what was bad about WoD wasn’t bad about BfA.

I’ve been unmotivated in both.

Cataclysm will always be the worst. It was so bad they lost millions of people after the Lich King Peak.

Huh if that’s what you’re basing it off of, WoD lost way more people than Cata.
