If I sailed to the edge of the map would I fall off?
No, but Blood Elves are
/Love Blood Elves (except Demon Hunters)
Might want to go look out the window of the Vindicaar on Argus some day.
I always knew Dks had rotted brains
If maps are flat ergo Azeroth is flat
We DKs are a pragmatic bunch!
Actually yes, the ocean ends in a giant block with a straight 90 degree angle going down. What’s holding the water back is a mystery to me and why I can’t go over this barrier.
It’s like your brain just runs into a wall right? I just keep banging into the wall Over and over and over…
You should test this. Fly out off the coast of durotar, don’t stop until you either fall off or come back around!
Seems like a pretty straight forward idea. I’ll give it a shot and circle back with you.
I don’t wanna work! I just wanna bang on the drum all day! ![]()
The flat Azeroth society has members all around the globe
Remember Pirates of the Pirates of the Caribbean at World’s End
That should be the 3rd faction: the Flat Azerothers.
Theoretically, no. The maps are designed to indicate Azeroth is round (although, maybe not perfectly?). Also, physics would work very differently on a flat world, making these conditions impossible in that scenario. Gravity would not work the same on a flat world.
Camera tricks! Conspiracies! Fisheye lens! It’s all shot in a studio and projected onto the window of the ship!
in the most technical sense, yes. wow’s engine can only render flat geometries. every landmass is created on a plane suspended in a skybox. should you make it to the edge, you’d find the world simply ends.
in game, azeroth is obviously supposed to be a spheroid planet, like earth.
No she’s got big old mountains so she’s definitely not flat.
she a sexy titan… But no touchy!
I’m probably going to get in trouble for this… but…
Stares at Mt. Hyjal, then over at Blackrock Spire.
They’re… They’re not exactly symmetrical.
