What’s the experience like on other high pop servers that don’t have layers? Can’t see much posts coming from them. Is Arugal the only one right now?

Only OCE realm without gates. Blizzard allowed transfers to Arugal as they removed layers. No new account restrictions also means bots are back as Arugal is the most popular OCE realm for them to sell gold.
Basically, US has more options. OCE don’t.
No other server has had 6 hour que times

Oceania is made up of multiple countries of players all crammed onto three servers.
You can just go to the realm list and count the servers available.
It’s not hard to see why they’d be overcrowded

Its not really. Their population is much smaller. They just all decided to crowd and make a megaserver.
All that needs to happen is free transfers off, and those that choose to stay can suffer from their own mistakes.

Does it have a higher pop than Farelina? I thought it’d be the other way around.
By megaserver you mean only PvP server around at launch?
Most likely yes Layers will return. They shouldn’t though.

When was Yojamba released?
16 hours or so after launch. Majority of guilds had all ready setup. Arugal was the only server PvP.
As you’re not apart of Arugal, you don’t get to decide that. You’re not even of this region, Dot.

As a member of the community as a whole I have a vested interest in layering not being used anywhere, lest it be used on my realm.

Earlier than that. Guilds were recruiting and setting up shop as soon as the realms were listed weeks in advance.
We were provided one PVP realm. If we had been provided more originally we would have undoubtedly been more organised.
You don’t share our experience. The circumstances of how OCE was managed have resorted in us needing layers indefinitely. Your region doesn’t share this issue to this magnitude.

Yeah I’m a gm we where recruiting for months before. Soon as we seen arugal was the only server we said "that’s where we are going’
Yojamba was opened hours after Arugal how long are you going to keep lying about how “Arugal was our only option.”

Yojamba was also filled extremely fast. We had the choice of 4 hour queues or 3 hour queues. There was much uncertainty at the time.
Community is everything to us, we chose to stick with what we knew best.
Yojamba currently has one competitive raiding guild. It performs slower than any of the top 10 Arugal. I don’t regret my decision.
