Fury is like non-stop action. I never DON’T have an ability to use. It’s a blast. Is arms just as fun?
Fun depends on you mate.
Arms should not always have an ability to press, which is evidently worth noting.
So no? I always hated standing there with no rage waiting for an auto so I could get rage to use an ability. With fury you’re never rage starved.
That’s subjective considering they play completely differently.
You ask me? I will tell you yes because I dont like the manic button pushing of Fury. I much prefer the slower methodic big hits of Arms.
Someone who loves Fury will say the opposite of Arms.
So figure out which style you like of the two and you will have your answer.
From my experience both are fun, they just have different levels and expectations of fun.
Arms:
- Not as many buttons to press but the buttons you do use hit for big numbers. Even melee hits feel bigger. e.g. you cast mortal strike and see a 1700 hit.
Fury:
- Lot of buttons to hit but much smaller numbers. e.g. you cast rampage and see 4-5 hits of 200 or 300 hp each. They add up to close the same as arm numbers.
So in a way its your perspective of fun, if you like seeing ton of numbers. Fury is fun and arms not so much. You like seeing huge numbers, arms is fun but fury may not be.
I switch frequently between the two and always have a blast and fun time.
Obviously there are other factors that tie in, aka survival abilities. Self healing or etc etc… but for the most part the aspect of non-stop action is dependent on your cup of tea.
Arms is more methodical, Fury is spammy.
Arms does feel a lot slower, but Arms claps.
If you like mashing buttons, you’re going to hate Arms. Arms tends to have a lot of unfilled gcds which some people don’t enjoy.
It’s slow and methodical, like sin rogue or frost mage. I like it.
Imo arms is more fun
As haste is getting higher, arms has less GCD gaps already, but it’s definitely noticeably slower than fury.
Fun is up to you, arms makes me bored and fury makes me happy, but yeah.
play arms if you enjoying being baby sat and dying a lot without someone healing you.
That is not the experience I’ve had, but to each their own.
Currently I am Arms, but I’ve been switching back and forth since Shadowlands hit. This is a good thing, because both specs are enjoyable. While Arms can feel clunky at times, with gear and talents I find I’m always hitting something every global cool down to prevent rage capping.
Fury is more streamlined I’d say. It’s fun, you fly through your abilities constantly, never really waiting on a cool down. Even then you hit Whirlwind to refresh the buff and rage gen. It is a very satisfying loop.
To be honest, I may stick with Arms now that I’m getting very comfortable with it. I wish Mortal strike had some more beef to it. Other than that and to answer your question, yes, I’d say Arms is as fun as Fury.
Imagine dying and not killing who’s trying to kill you first because arms warrior damage is absolutely disgusting with all the survivability it has.
Utility wise obviously very similar.
Play style:
Fury press something every GCD. Arms conserve rage for your big hitting abilities
Arms has defensive stance, lower rage cost feel no pain. Fury has better self healing.
Fury definitely feels smoother IMO. Arms gives you the big numbers…pick your poison.
It honestly fills me with so much joy to see you describe arms as survivable. It’s such a departure from how we felt in bfa
It was fine in legion and bfa too, but now it’s not only super tanky but it makes everyone on your team super tanky too. Warrior is imo the best melee
You might want to look at how much fury actually heals these days
Why use two weapon when one weapon do trick?
I think arms is more fun that fury but fun is very subjective. I like the feeling of being a hulking juggernaut that waits for the right moment to strike, and when I do, you will know I have struck.
