I’m just sitting here and thinking is it even worth to start again ? Also the whole pvp lifestyle can be fun but man it really is frustrating sometimes. I know I busted a lot of chops but I always wanted to try a pve server just for the peace of mind. Ughhhhh is anyone confused like me lol
I’ve done both plenty of times, and pvp servers are the way to go because they offer more. It can suck dealing with sociopaths who camp in order to vent their failed lives, but it’s impossible to find bg groups on pve servers. Plus, lots of world pvp interactions are fun. Fighting over mobs, etc. Going back and forth with each other.
According to wowhead’s schedule, there should be a SS vs. TM time before BGs kick off. That could be real fun on the pvp server.
Not to mention, while most people are leveling to 60, there won’t be any honor, so probably less campers.
Im slightly torn on faction, 98% going horde. PvP is locked in since this version of classic will be to farm up for TBC Belf Pally. More money can be made on pvp realms as raiders get lazier and lazier and buy their consumes instead of farming. Also PvP consumes are money.
Another thing to consider is that horde will very likely have longer queue times for bgs. Whether it’s 3 mins vs. instant alliance queues or 3 hours is yet to be determined. Tho the faction balancing Blizz is attempting will help that a bit, but only slightly as SoD queues are still out of wack.
Just so incredibly dumb and inaccurate its wild.
We faced PAGLE premades all the time in classic… what are you talking about.
Managed to rope four of my friends into giving the game a go, we’re going pvp and hoping to wreck havoc
at least 2 of your friends are going to quit because of PvP… just saying.
OK mb, what I meant was pugs. They are “much harder” to find on pve servers than pvp servers which are overflowing with them. Yes, guilds on pve servers have no problem making premades with themselves.
There will be one pve server… i can promise you there will be premades.
I can promise that too.
But back to my point – it’s harder to find pugs for bgs on pve servers than pvp servers by far.
I didn’t realize you knew them, but thanks
Its just a tale as old as time. One of your friends is g oing to really love the game, you will all quit middle of MC… he will keep playing… then a few months from now will say “well i only joined PvP because my friends all did, now i want off and i hate it here, can i please pay to xfer to PvE”.
this tale is older than the bible ffs.
Going onto Lone Wolf was the single biggest mistake I ever made in SoD. I will be going PVE.
If you are retired or financially independent with a fair amount of time on your hands, PVP is the best way to go, IMO. If you are not in these categories and have a lot of work and responsibilities to do, its better to go with PVE, if your goal is to accomplish the maximum amount of activities within a reasonable span of time.
Yup, if the only time you can really play is between 5-9PM i would highly suggest NOT picking a PvP server. Often the chores you need to accomplish simply take 20-80% longer on PvP servers (or can be completely unplayable at times)
No, you aren’t. My life has been busy lately so the choice is to use a lot of my free time to play this, or just keep using my free time to do more productive things that better my life. Maybe still just dabbling with Era is the play for now.
A regular fresh would win this debate, but this is fresh with like 3 big differences I’m not a fan of. I also just want to play around respectful people - the one PVP server for sure won’t be like Vanilla or Classic 2019 where you get to know the same people and have the same rivalries - so that’s another question. I know that guilds are a big part of finding your like-minded crew, but when the whole vibe of the server isn’t great that’s a turn-off, IMO.
In SoD it took me 3 weeks to get a singular Darkmoon faire buff. Im good. 20-80% isnt even entirely truthful.
