I got blazing on my first try with the buff, but it took almost 20 to get the azure drake. I also got 4 blue drakes while trying to get the azure drake.
That sucks, I’m sorry.

I finally got Onyxia so all I need is Blazing to finish Awake the Drakes,
Ive gotten neither after 9 tries. I have 3 more left to do. But I cant complain too much. I have gotten 5 mounts this past week. Only ones left are the Dragonsoul and Dazzler raids

To be honest, deep down I’m a bit upset that people are getting mounts in just a few tries — the same ones I’ve spent an insane amount of time farming. I kind of wish they had to live in those raids like I did

Years ago, after finally getting it, I did one last victory lap to the end of Dragon Soul in celebration of being done with Spine. On that run, duplicates of both mounts dropped.
I never quite figured out the proper emotional reaction for that situation.

I got the Blazing Drake last week on a DS mog run.
I’ve gotten multiple blazing drakes and experiments. Also got the Grand Black War Mammoth (ran it for no reason).
Haven’t gotten a single mount I actually need.
Oh boy back when I was farming these years ago I got Blazing Drake to drop 5 times in about 115 total attempts before finally getting Life-Binder.
That’s how it always is!!! UGH. Well, I’m glad you got Ony! Hopefully you can get Blazing soon.

Keep in mind it’s still just a 5% drop rate. That’s far from guaranteed.

Yes I got all 3 dragon soul mounts to drop in about 15 runs total I think?
While this is true, random numbers are just truly annoying and I think this event is a showcase that everyone would rather just have deterministic loot paths for … everything. It’s a game after-all, it shouldn’t be a frustration simulator.
Like me, I’ve gotten 3 handmaidens and that was before the event launched.

Dropped for my night elf hunter on my very first attempt of this event. Incidentally, I had already gotten every other DS mount and every other drake that’s part of “Awake the Drakes” years ago, and was desperately trying to complete both sets.
I was excited to get Invincible on my first attempt last week because it meant I could finally get the mogs from the other difficulties without fear of losing progress on the former.
