If you played bfa like I suffered through, you remember quite well the torture of fighting a havoc demon hunter. The absolute misery of trying to take down a raid boss warlock chunking you down and taking no damage.
How demon hunters had defensives on every button and were unkillable. Broken overpowered to the point of being comical to watch. Flying around the arena and the battleground dodging every attack and never dying.
I can’t be the only one that’s secretly smiling inside at how bad these specs are in shadowlands now. It brings me happiness to see how squishy havoc is. It makes me smile seeing no destro locks. Finally, an expansion where they don’t absolutely dominate everything.

Eh, kind of. Those same players are just on Balance/Ret/Fire, etc. now. /shrug

DHs are still the meta rbg tank. And destro locks are actually decent at 226. 40k bolts are a thing with cooldowns. Running double lock, one of each spec, is actually really strong. Hard to shut down both, one gets to free cast.

Well I’m getting 20+k chaos bolts to the face right now, so I wouldn’t really say destr is in a bad spot

And they’re getting beefier demon armor
I agree nerf rogues who have been S tier since vanilla

Never been a fan of destro lock playstyle in pvp. Get locked down and do nothing or get off 2 casts and win.

and any locks that didn’t want to change just went aff and faceroll slow entire teams to a crawl with their OP legendary
the leggo is fine lmao. why do you constantly complain about relatively balanced abilities when ww, wars and rets exist??
Not really. I’d much prefer to see Blizzard tune things to a reasonable level than have made Havoc meh. They’ve got a good kit, and are fun to play, IMO.
Destroy locks still here, they just got to play smarter that’s all
I don’t think it’s much of a secret.
They’re far from “trash”, the issue are a few ridiculously overtuned specs making everything else look bad in comparison.
Fighting a DH used to feel like even if I was playing my Warr and DK(multiboxing) at the same time that I would still get my ar se handed to me easily.
I’m most happy about Hunters current state vs beginning of shadowlands to be honest. Those moments of seeing a hunter take 90% of my HP off in what looked like 1 shot. Just this big red chunk instantly off my health. I’m so happy Blizzard TO THE GROUND 'ed them.
I’d rather see classes on even playing fields but admittedly you develop Vendetta’s against certain classes when they have OP moments in time that made your game experience unpleasant.
The only class I hate is Rogue, and tbh it has nothing to do with current play. I just very vividly recall being absolutely griefed by sap, sap, sap, sap then turned upside down when I was new to the game back in the day. To this day whenever I land a HoJ on one and watch them get deleted I get a sense of joy from it that I don’t get from initiating a kill on any other class. lol

I skipped the end of BFA so I don’t really have a firm grasp of how OP they were. I actually mained a DH for the short time I played in BFA but I was mostly doing pve at that point and I quit not long after the water zone was made and I got tired of farming the same piece of benthic gear to try to get the right one. Can someone compare them to the current state of cancer of lets say fire mages or boomkins? Thanks and don’t say anything about WW it’s getting nerfed in a few hours
The great rogue nerf in shadowlands was a glorious time.

nothing relatively balanced about locks keeping entire teams slowed to 50%
