or just me? i ask because i havent lagged for a long time until today which happens to be a patch day
I had a bit of a lag in uldum, but not too bad. Then when I was fighting a rare the game just seized up like I was disconnected. Could still chat in guild chat, but couldn’t do anything else but run around. No actions would complete. Finally had to hard kill wow since it wouldn’t let me log off or exit.
No because its not patch day.
/s before anyone gets too serious
hmm interesting. i can barely accept the quest or take a prtal or literally mount… idk what to do, my home internet is actually faster than usual right now
Unfortunately this issue has been plaguing some NA and Oceanic realms since launch for zones that see heavy BFA-related traffic.
Honestly seeing this now in Vale and Uldum is very unsurprising given that the above server-side lag issue still has not been fixed.
i can’t even load into nazjatar
I got disconnected very abruptly when I tried to turn in a quest in Uldum earlier in the day when the servers first came up. Other than that, just some terrible loot lag.
I can’t even tell if it’s me or not cause haven’t had this issue earlier but yesterday night it started getting really bad, I’m PST if that means anything, keep getting disconnected from server, went into my first corruption thing and I could not move at all, can’t attack and my corruption filled the entire time I was frozen so yeah…pretty unfair, I mean I have had lag before but not this bad, I was barely able to even do a mythic last night but it’s like unplayable lag. And sucks that they have something like this where you have to be able to complete this in a time limit or your pretty much out of luck for getting upgrades.
damn, im PST too. northern ca. i saw on the tech support forums that a lot of people are having problem with wave cable, but they’re not who i use, theyre in the town over. are you wave cable?
I blame all the CRZ and Sharding for all the lag.
Yeah I go through WAVE…so it’s us then? Geez…can’t play the game at all.
yeah, it’s been awful! esp for big bosses, even in BFA besides Uldum and Pandaria. Super frustrating!
I was lagging really bad on patch day. I seem to be fine now. Maybe it’s an individual server thing.
I had been having problems with up to 1 minute after hopping on my mount where I would disappear. For the first several minutes after changing zones, the map would not display. Flight Paths would not display.
This only happened since BFA, and seemed to get really bad with 8.3. Latency was low, below 70 ms, but was still seeing these delays.
I found a post on the EU forums where somebody who had similar problems renamed the Data directory in their World of Warcraft folder, and let the launcher download the game again.
This fixed the problems I was having, and it seems to be working much better for me now without any of the delays I was having before.
If you want to wait for the Launcher to download the 60 - 70 GB again for the game, getting rid of the frustration with the delays was well worth the wait.
I have been getting weird spikes.
