I’m being serious. I don’t think ANYONE asked for slice and dice to return. I remember being so happy when it was first taken out, and it was exactly when I decided I’d like to main rogue.
It’s such a boring crap ability that serves no purpose other than artificially adding complexity to an already headache of a rotation, and now even Assassination has to put up with it.
Why not just make it a passive? After every finishing move, you get SnD for X seconds based on combo points spent. There.
The ability is the worst design decision that can be made, and the same reason Inquisition was removed from Retribution a long time ago. It’s a button that does not feel rewarding to press; on the contrary, it hurts my soul to have to press it instead of doing a big rewarding Eviscerate or Kidney.
WHY. WHY IS IT BACK!?

Search snd on the forums and look at older threads besides the recent ones.
People have been asking for SnD back since they took it.

I was thinking the same thing. I picked up my Rogue recently and I was disappointed to see SND make a comeback. It feels like a waste of time to distract me from the other things going on.

You should known better than to think forum posters are a majority of the actual playerbase.
You should look up an interesting article about the “80, 20, 5” rule.
It essentially says 80% of the playerbase will never do anything outside playing the game.
20% will go outside the game and read about the game.
And 5% will actually discuss the game.

I can tell you if they hadn’t announced it coming back I would have made a post asking for it back so your point is pretty pointless.

Either way people have asked for it back and people have asked for it to be removed.

If you want to disprove me wrong then look past the actual shadowlands complaints by new rogues who never played with SnD before it was removed.

There’s a difference between asking for an ability back during alpha/beta and asking for it to be removed during the expansion.
Blizz isn’t going to remove an ability because people don’t like it at this stage of the game. Nothing but number changes to abilities will happen until the next major patch and even then something like SnD won’t likely be removed.
Actually it does have relevance because the main people I see asking for SnD to be removed are newer rogues.
I have yet to see a good rogue ask for SnD to be removed.
Both are suggestions, the difference is you don’t like one of the suggestions so you’ll do anything to argue against it, even if it means saying really awkward stuff.
You like SnD.
We get it, you don’t have to weave these weird “well OG rogues like it” or “you see the forums man, people like it, just look it up” and then move the goalposts if people dispute those arguments.

I dislike it.
It was so nice that they changed roll the bones, only to then say ‘ha, now you have another button to manage.’
But hey, I’m a wanna be bm hunter playing a rogue, so my opinion probably doesn’t matter.
Main thing is, all classes should feel smooth and fluid to play, and more buttons to maintain goes against that concept.
Luckily SnD lasts a long time.

Weird, been playing on and off since WotLK
full challenge mode armor sets in MoP on 9 classes, rogue included.
Cleared heroic raiding during the tier on raids when I’m playing. But according to you I’m a newer rogue and bad at my class because I don’t like SnD. Lmfao.
Meanwhile looking at your raid history the ONLY raids you’ve touched on your rogue are Castle Nathria and Ny’alotha
