Is anyone a raider but NOT doing M+?

I really don’t have the want or desire to do M+. I normally do it for vault/extra gear to help raid progression. But the dungeon line up looks blah, I tried some low keys on an alt and it’s just not fun. Anyone raid but skip M+ entirely?

Feels bad I feel like nag feeling like I am SUPPOSED to run it, as it helps gearing/raiding. But then the other part of me that just hates M+ and hates feeling pressure to bother with it

you don’t have to run it at all… a complete run through the raid will give you all the crests you need and you get flightstones from World Events

I’m an M+'r being guilted into raiding because my non-M+ guildies need the carrying, and because raiding is a far more time-efficient source of upgrade crests.

The opposite, M+ feeling pressure to raid to gear faster.

I raid but don’t M+, but the last legit progression run I did was Castle Nathria, :stuck_out_tongue:

Season 1 m+er. Most likely done with it. I can’t fathom running dungeons all the time every new season. Boring to me!!

I’ll do the raid 3-4 times on my main. That’s it. :ok_hand::ok_hand:

I usually do some casual M+, but i dont really feel like doing any this season tbh

You don’t have to m+.

There’s many people that’s understanding of the position you’re in and would understand it.

Hopefully you don’t get forced (by guilds) to do something you don’t want to do

It’s a video game so do what you want.

If you’re in a position where it’s really needed you would know that and not post about it on the forums.

I’m not touching M+ this season. I despise most of those dungeons.

Person looks for other opinions and thoughts. Person gets chastised for it.

It’s honestly one of the few reasons I have given up raiding. Every guild I have been in, both Horde and Alliance, all required doing M+ for heroic raiding.

I have given M+ the good college try. Even got KSM a couple seasons, but I just cannot stand it. I love to raid. It’s the main reason I played WoW. This pivot to M+ being basically mandatory has been a put off for me.

Me
I raid and don’t do M+

It sucks the developers pushed this as an end game pillar. They needed a way to recycle more content for the gear treadmill, so they picked dungeons.

A lot of the new dungeons are just recycled areas in the overland content.

Seems like they’re double-dipping a lot now.

Yes I much prefer to raid over dungeons, I miss the old days when dungeons were about getting gear TO raid, not an alternate progression path…

Those who do usually end up on the bench in CE guilds.

I only raided for S1 and S2, my guild only does heroic raids though.

So by the end of both seasons I was full heroic gear while a lot of my guild was full mythic gear because they M+.

I’ll probably be doing some M+ this season…

I mean, you can do whatever you want.

I’ve done the Raid + M+ thing before.
I’ve also done the Raid without M+ thing before.

Fact is, the former is what people expect. Even if Raids drop strong gear, it’s undeniable that the quantity is pretty low. Every group I’ve ever been in has people wearing like 90% Mythic+ and Weekly Freebie gear + maybe a couple slots from the Raid (no, converting m+ into tier doesn’t count as raid gear).

Choosing to do the latter is choosing to be the weak link on your team / pug group / whatever. And if that’s fine with you and with them, whatever. But that’s how it is. My last actual raid group I was doing the no-M+ thing and I was perpetually 10ish ilvl behind everyone else.

I was parsing orange bracket % to pull middle of the pack DPS in the group. If I was parsing 50s it would’ve been really damn demoralizing.

I like doing both, I might be a strange bolt though

I don’t have a M+ group. I used to, but like 3 of them stopped playing. I could try doing pickup groups, but I don’t really like doing that.
