Is Alliance really that bad at doing basic PVP?

The obvious version of this is Wintergrasp- by odds you will rarely ever start on defense and you will frequently discover that you tend to win games on defense and lose games on assault. Because a single WG match can have north of 80 people cycle through the Assault team.

Very true statement. Ive been calling for wintergrasp to be deleted since it was reintroduced for this exact reason. Right out of the gate it was the most belligerently toxic BG in the game due to the extreme amount of afking out of the BG for offense. You actually get WG O more than anything else in that queue becuase of this… its just ridiculous that a BG where it is optimal to leave the game has been in the live queue for years now.

All I know is, whatever side I’m on, if we’re losing, someone usually says “this is why Horde/Ally is so bad” …or something to that effect. I don’t think either side is much worse than the other… it just depends on the day, or even time of day.

Agreed. i play both factions quite a bit between mercing and having a few horde. My impression is that alliance is a tad better in random BG, and i only ever play horde for epic bgs. I feel like horde does better and im just not trying to sit the ally queue.

Randoms lose to premades regardless of what faction they are, so this is probably part of why everybody thinks their faction is bad. Plus i feel like you basically have to hard carry every random regardless of faction. People dragging their team down are just gona lose more. goes without saying

This thread almost feels like its staight outta 2012 or something. My experience through this expansion coming back has been alliance absolutely wrecking wpvp and unrated bgs. I actually feel bad for horde. They get literally no crates in the world, anyone who shows up gets immediately blown up. And the battlegrounds that i do i nearly always alliance wins, I’d say almost 80% wins. Back in the day it was horde doing this in my experience but never to this degree. Op must be getting every other bg I’m not in lmao.

Anyway, I am fishing in Outlands (Furious Crawdads folks, I’m not going to say I made over 100k on the little guys, but I’m not going to not say that either).

The point is while fishing I’m Q’in epic BGs. And we lost both times so far. The second was backfilling into an AV to Auggy’s group /shakesFist

So I agree, it doesn’t matter what side I am on, I seem to lose a lot. Maybe that’s an epic BG thing, I have more fun solo q’in into Epic BGs for whatever reason.

just play blitz. If you are trying to gear, remember that you are alliance and the war supply crates are basically free for you. Just fly to each zone on repeat and get 150 honor, 60 conquest and 50 bloody tokens per crate. No excuses as alliance. If you just prefer playing the random bgs over rated pvp, well then i wish you the best af luck. I never lose like that in randoms.
