What are people buying anymore other than flasks and shadowmeld pots.
I think fishing and cooking is more worth it though from a time spent stand point.
I just do transmutes and enjoy the double flask duration. Oh, and getting free vials from someone else’s cauldron on raid night.

If you’re not making cauldrons for your raid, no.
If you’re not selling flasks and pots on a large scale, no.
If you don’t care about the double duration on flasks, or don’t already have it, no.

The potions and flasks are always in demand. Every profession has a use–except Engineering apparently–and there’s always a benefit to keeping them maxed–except for Engineering.

For self use, it’s kinda bad, for profit, might be ok, I don’t know, I was never into flasks in this game after I quit raiding.
I can tell you that it’s the cheapest and easiest profession to amass KP atm.

But portals. And I like having infinitely reusable health pot.
The random wormhole generator? Niche.
Not worth it. I’ve got plenty of Delve Potions for that.
They aren’t necessarily random, being able to teleport to a specific zone (like for Shadowlands/DF/TWW) or continent for all the ones before it is nice, especially for farming old content.
That, and we have a usable-anywhere mobile bank/repair with Jeeves.

I fear I’m too lost in my own little playstyle to know what other people do or don’t value.
yeah for self use. okay that is good that it rewards most knowledge points.
I don’t see how. We are in season 3 stat range now and cooking is still using the season one buff modifiers. Even in season one they were trash buffs.
Extended flask/phial duration and cheap transmutes are the reason i leveled it. If you get some points into multi-crafting its still pretty good if youre a progression raider since you can burn through a lot of consumables pushing.
Do the fish not sell?

How so? Because of cheap herb prices in the AH? Just curious. 
I am trying to work on Alchemy with an alt.
I have been leveling (KP capping) all professions (and some duplicates) since March.
That’s how I know Alchemy is ultra cheap and Blacksmithing is hella expensive.
~300g worth of mats per KP on average for Alchemy, it’s one of, if not, the cheapest.
I’m still not done with BS and LW yet, but I’ve capped KP on all the other crafting profs.
No patience at all for the gathering ones though XD
blacksmithing kills me inside every time i do those patron crafting orders.
here spend like 5k on mats for a whole 1 kp. I don’t even do crafting orders for people or anything, i just like being able to craft my own gear better but its undeniable i could just get someone to do it for me for much cheaper.
