Has anyone noticed that /console actioncam full no longer does anything? I’m not sure if killing actioncam was intentional or a bug, I knew it was an issue on the PTR, but I’m not sure if Blizz ever knew. I use actioncam all the time, I really hope they fix it if it is a bug, or consider putting it back in if removing it was intentional.
Did they remove it? That’s lame. I personally don’t like the over the shoulder thing but tons of people do.
thats cause thats not the proper command i think, could be wrong. But it was meant to be a test / beta for it that never went anywhere. So i wouldn’t be surprised if they trashed it / removed it altogether.
Did you check Interface -> Accessibility and make sure you don’t have the motion sickness option enabled?
You were totally right, it wasn’t the motion sickness option, but it was in that drop down menu, I think they added a new thing that keeps the camera centered, changing that fixed it for me. Thanks!
Glad to see it’s not completely nixed! I like to use it in PvP.
For those looking to use it: ESC Menu>Interface>Accessibility
Set the drop menu for Motion Sickness to “Allow Dynamic Camera Movement”
Set the drop menu for Camera Shake to “Full”
“/console ActionCam full” to turn it on
“/console ActionCam off” to disable it
Wait, what is actioncam? It sounds rad.
THANK YOU. i had no idea why the pop up happened but nothing changed.
It’s an off-center over the shoulder camera option like what you would find an an action rpg. Very dynamic, but uh … it can cause motion sickness in some people. I’ve found it more enjoyable for ranged classes.
I had to completely reconfigure mine a couple weeks ago, it forgot my old preset and it also reset me to default. Still works though, as of last week.
They hid it in the menus so no one could turn it on easily. Some people were getting it turned on, on accident or too easy then getting very motion sick and disoriented with all the camera movements.
There’s also an add-on called DynamicCam that allows more functionality and allows you to import profiles if you’re into it.
