Is account sharing between spouses allowed?

Few weeks ago I read a discussion on here asking that question and a number of people said it is allowed. Unfortunately I could not respond do to a bug saying I had no characters on my account. The answer to this question is no, it is not allowed. There is only one situation in which account sharing is allowed and that is between a parent and their kid until the kid is not longer a minor.

The official answer is “No, it’s not allowed”.

The practical answer is “They really wont be able to tell if you do it”.

Plus I’ve gone to the other side of the planet and logged into my account without anything happening. I’m pretty sure Blizzard just doesn’t care, even if it’s technically in the rules that you can’t.

I wouldn’t want to risk my accounts on this. The only reason I sent a ticket in is because if it was allowed I was going to marry a friend so we can account share and get rank 14 easier.

I suppose you could try adopting them instead =P

id have to adopt a minor for that to work. Maybe I could adopt my friend and they could say they “identify” as a 9 yearold.

don’t ask don’t tell. unless you are doing it for rank or some sort of game abuse than who cares.

It’s ok, I will adopt a dozen Chinese orphans to farm gold and 24 hour honor grind my toons to r14.

The average cost to adopt a kid is $28,000…

But if the kid gets you rank 14 wouldn’t that be worth it?

You already have by posting it here

Never said I was going to account share and I don’t plan on doing so since it is against ToS so I have not risked any of my accounts.

Then all is fine

When my wife wanted to play I let her have my “gold making” account and just started making gold on my main account… Just imagine if the spouse got pissed, yet didnt play as much as you, and started deleting stuff haha that would suck

Why is it so expensive to adopt? You’d think the government would instead help pay the bills, as they do with fostering.

In all honesty, id rather adopt than have a kid. Too many orphans in the world. As for the price tag of adopting, I don’t not know why it is so high.

It’s against the terms but it isn’t necessarily enforced in the same sense of sharing account across the Internet which is more easily detected and acted on.

If you’re on the same computer, just know it comes with risks of someone “borrowing” your gold, someone getting angry and deleting all your characters and items and if you split, whoever is on the account is the owner and you have no recourse on it. There is no such thing as a inter-account character transfer so your characters will forever be locked to that account.

So, if you do this, do this knowing the risks.

Foster and then adopt. Much much much cheaper. Also, I have account shared for years. Just make sure it is in your name so if you break up it is in your name

he literally said it was for rank 14 grind.

Its against ToS. Gotta adopt a minor instead.

odd that you would even discuss it.
